OK fucking gnats you asked for it!!

The ants I deal with love sugar. Whenever they get too large in #'s outside and start wanting to enter the house I thin them out with, 3 parts powder sugar, 1 part borax enough water to create a gel and a speck of grape jelly. Put it where they trail. Has worked for years.

They might work better if you can get them in yellow. Yellow attracts gnats, blue attracts mosquitos.

    Fruit and vegetable gardens 2024

Anyone grow Brussel sprouts? I am germinating some seeds to try them indoors and outdoors. I call this my hidden MJ garden. I've had indoor tomatoes going for a year and a half and don't plan on stopping. I have 2 600w hps going and the tomatoes are getting by with the side lighting for now. I...

Official Heisenbeans Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato Contest

I've been following and I'm glad you are starting over. If you start a thread @ me, I'd follow your progress and I have a good eye for thrips. You probably got them in the summer or fall last year. If it's cold where you live, they are not likely to be an issue if you wipe them out completely...

    Anyone know what this is?

I don't think it's a virus. My guess is that they have a self-topping trait in the genetics.

Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato Contest Shit Talk & Banter

Thought I'd throw in 2c. I've beat thrips a few times. I had success with neem oil in veg. Some growers don't like using neem complaining of an oily residue on the leaves. IMO this is from mixing to much per gallon of water. With a mix just strong enough to kill the larvae there is almost no...

Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato Contest Shit Talk & Banter

That is a good question. I'm growing fingerling carrots from burbee. They are supposed to grow 3 1/2" and they hit the bottom of my 4" trays so I'm growing them in deeper trays. While the yield is small the flavor makes it impossible for me to stop growing them. I started a bunch of lettuce and...

Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato Contest Shit Talk & Banter

I find it easy to grow. We have had some incredible salads from previous harvests. These look great but last night the lettuce was very irony. Could be it is past the prime time to harvest, could be lack of moisture IDK.

Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato Contest Shit Talk & Banter

Salutations Zaphod420! If I had known, I would have asked to play. I started 16 solo cups 3 weeks ago and with the perpetual veggies I'm hooked on I'm going to be out of room for a while. No bugs in my garden except fungus gnats and crabs.

Anyone down for a " Solo Cup Challenge " ???

Both comps were awesome. My dream comp now would be a comp were everyone is growing the same strains for pain relief. 30 growers comparing notes after harvest about their individual experiences related to pain relief would be interesting to me and I might finally find a strain that works when...

    The James Gang

Beautiful plants and buds. Love the high brix in veg. Have you ever smoked a strain that helped with pain? I've had success with creating topical cream for pain relief but have never found a strain that I can smoke for pain relief.

What to do if you see burning tips/leaves with living soil/topdressing?

As Charlie said the top dressing won't break down that fast to cause a problem, something fast acting like a guano over applied might show problems quickly but even that would need some time. If it is related to the A/C and the light. Why are the middle fan leave in bad shape and the leaves...

    2021 Mystery Pack Competition

All except This #2 are in jars. I saved the best for last. I think it will have the best yield. At the beginning of jarring, I like leaving the lids off half the time until I feel comfortable closing them up for most of the day. Other #2 is going to be my lightest plant at 36 grams, I've been...

9 weeks and 2 days since flip. 6 comp plants are trimmed. 4 to go. Other #1, Other #4 and That #2. Harlet #2, Other #2 and Other #5. These look like the ones with the best yield, I think Harlet #1 on the left will be the biggest yielding plant and it has an incredible sweet smell. Harlet...

    2021 Mystery Pack Competition

I'm going to check crystals on a few plants. This is Other #4. I previously checked crystals on Other #1 in post #1,848 The crystals look similar on each plant to me, some cloudy, mostly clear. I'm going to check the other strains. This is Other #4. I chose the top of a lower branch because it...
