Coming along great man! I'm gonna practice a bit here on selecting for aesthetics and potential potency (based on trich coverage) if you don't mind. Here's what I pick:

Black Abyss 1 #4 - frostiest and chunkiest. The other two have a more conical top to them, as opposed to rounded. Is there a chance they're in the middle of the tent?

Blunt Force Trauma - difficult to choose.
- #1 - very spiky leaves. Looks the most unique of them all
- #3 - nice purple, but seems lighter in weight than the others?
- #4 - nice and fat. Wondering how it would be to trim? I expect fat wider nugs with that one.
- #5 - maybe the frostiest of the 5. Good stacking

Citrol Sledgehammer
- #1 - probably a nice trimmer, with lotsa frost to catch in the bin
- #4 - the most unique looking of the bunch, yellow pudding hairs mix well with the orange hairs. Diamond/football shaped bud cola formation.
- #6 - Frosty and thick, looks like a nice, long flowing dress in the leaves below

Ground Pounder
- #3 - Curly Sue Bedhead frosted chunk. Nice round golf ball bud formation
- #6 - WTF Alien Octopus Grimace, yet strangely alluring 😍 she looks nothing like her sisters

Is there a chance they're in the middle of the tent?
No, the middle is occupied by the pollinated clones that are much shorter. The test group is more so along the outer middle edge/perimeter. But they're tall, so they're pretty close to the light even though being along the outer edge. They'd most likely be getting burned if they were dead center. I have the tent arranged in somewhat of a stadium style.

Practice away man, I totally dig it! The Octopod is one of the more dramatic ones when she's thirsty. Her leaves were drooping pretty low. You can see in the lower right of the pic just how bad her fan leaf was hanging. That's not an uncommon sight inside of the tent when I can finally get in there to water.

Cool I will thanks. I was looking past the leaves on octopod cuz the other features totally outweigh the leaf droop which is manageable. Take a cut from that one and call it octomom like that crazy woman who had 8 kids a few years ago. Wait that was 2009, holy shit a decade ago wtf

I transferred all of the seedlings into solos and half gallons this morning.

Test Group #2; Only (2) of each from the latest pollination. Testing Space Invasion, God-O-War, Hyper Train, Cosmosis, Celestial Ghost, X-Files, Hyper Kush, Galactic Funk, Astro Black, 9lb. Blueberry, and Pandemic. After seeing this, I can now say there was a 100% germ rate with them. This was the only one not yet above ground.

Also being popped

(2) Hyper Dragonberry - (Dragonberry x Hyper Glue) by Reno Genetics
Both cracked and were above ground.

(4) Family Vault Purple x Purple Hulk x Hyper Glue by Reno Genetics
Two of the four were coiling near the top of the rapid rooter plug but hadn't pushed out yet. The two others were just cracking a bit with a little tap root barely impeding on the crease.

(2) Moontang Mysteries - (Moontang x with either Terpenado or a Goji x Sunshine Daydream male) It was an accidental open pollination. Seeds were gifted from a friend. Both above ground.

(2) Terpenado Mysteries - (Terpenado x with either Terpenado or a Goji x Sunshine Daydream male) Again, these were part of the same accidental open pollination and gifted from the same friend. Both above ground.

(4) Mystery Time Capsule seeds from @spyralout
I think I might have failed at my first attempt. I have some different plans for future attempts but not all is lost just yet on two of these four. I cracked one open, transplanted, and then accidentally dumped the solo cup over. I gave up looking for the seed in the pile of soil after a pretty decent attempt to find it. I tried cracking the second seed and accidentally crushed it. The last two were cracked, but appeared pretty dark brown inside. I still moved them into solo cups in hopes some luck can shine down on at least one of them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

These are just a couple of random seedlings pics to fit the mood.

The plants are starting to show some real progress. Can't wait for the roots to hit water. Smooth sailing so far.
I realized that I misspoke when I said Black Abyss was the seed that needed emergency surgery. It was God-O-War.

About 2-3 days of veg. Looking very healthy and strong. Albatross and falcon spread catching the light.

Notice how Space Invasions in both totes are ahead of the rest (SI #1 about on par with the rest).
God-O-War #2 (Runty McRunterson) is the one that needed the help, pulled that one out, scuffed the seams and put it back in. Looks like she's coming along just fine. Smooth ...,,.,,.,,.⛵.,,.,,.,,...

Looking good. The names crack me up. Albatross, falcon, and Runty McRunterson. Lmao.
Hahaha it's whatever comes to mind at the moment lol. The way things are going Runty is going to be more of an oxymoron kinda like

Build an F&D Tote. You know you wanna 😄 cheap, low maintenance, takes 20 min to build. Utilizes a small footprint, modular, and portable. Sounds like it checks a lotta boxes 😗

Update: Test Group Day 44 - (about three or four posts to cover this update)

Smell: I'm getting a predominant candy like fruit smell, mainly grape, and all of varying degree throughout the tent. A couple still have an earthy smell, and two I couldn't get much of a smell from at all. I'll need the experienced nose and expertise of @spyralout to really nail this down later. And whatever it really ends up being, I literally kept saying, "Mmmm" after each sniff. I think I let out a little "fuck" here and there too.

Leaners: Below are a few shots from the 9lb. Hammer leaners based on flower structure. If it's not pictured or listed as a 9lb. Hammer leaner, it's either leaning toward the mom, or a nice mix of both.

Blunt Force Trauma #1 - The frostiest of the BFT. This one is definitely leaning toward BCK with trichome production and smell.
Day44BFT1.JPG

Black Abyss #1 P4 - She's another healthy frosty one. She smells of candy grapes.

Black Abyss #1 P3 - I'm still getting the sweet grape, but she has this unique pepper like smell too
Day44BA1.3.1.JPG

Day44BA1.3.2.JPG

Citrol Sledgehammer #4 - She's carrying that 9lb. Hammer flower structure. Another faint grape
Day44CS4.JPG

Black Abyss #2 P1 - Semi 9lb. Hammer leaner
Day44BA2.1.1.JPG

Day44BA2.1.2.JPG

Ground Pounder #5 - This is the deep purple phenotype. It's definitely leaning toward GelatOG with it's flower structure and smell. I'd probably keep this one for just the coloring and try to improve its other characteristics. I'll mention the potential "keepers" in the next post.

Update: Test Group Day 44 (continued)

Ground Pounder #2 - 9lb. leaner. She started off as one of the mildly, subtle purples. She's now growing into her own. She has that sweet, candy like grape smell. She's carrying the 9lb. Hammer flower structure. If choosing a preliminary keeper without a smoke report to confirm, she would be one.

Ground Pounder #3 - Super Chunk, heavy 9lb. Hammer leaner, great coloring with gorgeous trichome coating. She just looks like she's screaming "Momma Said Knock You OUT!" She seems to be retaining that GelatOG smell. Just like #2, without a smoke report, she would definitely be a preliminary keeper. She could very well be one of the earliest finishers too.

If you need another tester on some of your newest creations keep me in mind. I’m thinking I’ve got about 4 weeks until what I’ve got going is finished and then it’s all you sir! Love the updates and bud porn. Most impressive 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thank you @Texagonian. I’m quite pleased so far. I can’t wait to get them trimmed up and smoke tested. 👍 I also appreciate the offer to test too. Shoot me an email

Newest Test Group inbound: Group #2

This one has been struggling to shed its shell. So I eventually intervened. Needless to say, yesterday should have been watering day. I figured they could go one more day since I didn't really have time. When I woke up this morning, it looked like it was taking a dirt nap. It was laying completely flat across the top of the soil and looked shriveled up. I decided to do a quick water on everything else before work and I ended up giving the dirt napper some water too. I was expecting to throw it away later tonight when I came home. However, it decided to wake up. I guess it's not giving up so easily. Here it is after I came home.
IMG_E1384.JPG

It looks like I should add a little more soil to it.

Here's some shots of the rest of them.

I'm totally tripping out still on the mutant Moontang Mystery. With the growth growing out of the Cotyledon, I have no idea how it thinks it's going to survive or even carry the weight of the plant. I seriously can't foresee this growing much more or lasting very much longer. But I am intrigued and want to see what happens.

About a week of veg. Had to scoot the totes under the other T5 and now it's more difficult to get pics from the "original" side so the plant numbers will be reverse (refer to chart) until I move some things around.

Yesterday was watering day. I was waiting for this day because I wanted to start checking the trichomes on Ground Pounder #3. GP3 looks like it's getting close as compared to everything else in the tent. Everything else looks normal to me and that they most likely have a couple more weeks to go. They all have a lot of white pistils. Normal to me is 63+ days. I've never harvested any crop in under 63 days.

Well.......This girl shockingly looks done and it's only day 48. I wasn't prepared for it and I haven't even started flushing. I've only been giving them Mega Crop and Recharge, but I'd still like to flush. My only hang up is the lower 2/3's still have some nice top white pistil that definitely look like they could use some more time. But the top 2-3 sets of flowers look ready with what looks like almost 100% milky white trichomes.

Without a smoke report, GP3 has been my top choice keeper of the Ground Pounders hands down. She just looks like she is going to be some seriously insane fire. @SoLowDoughLow

I'm a little torn with what to do at this point. Should I run her longer and get a couple fresh waterings in to flush, or chuck her into darkness now for a couple of days?

I'm also wondering if I can re-veg her since I didn't take clones. I can chop everything except the lowest flowers and then throw her back into the veg rack. She's definitely a showstopper.

I tried taking pics through the loop with my iPhone. So they're not the best pics, but here they are.
