So I finally decided to take the plunge and try my hand at growing some cubes. Spores from docs dank and I bought a complete grow kit from another site just to make it easier since this is new to me. I've read about growing mushrooms for a couple years on and off, just never got around to it until now. Anyone else grow mushrooms?

Oh sorry, colonized is more like it. I'm new at this shit 🤣. There are 4 holes in the lids for inoculation and gas exchange. The foil goes over the top with a little breathing room but it's sealed to the mouth of the jar. I'm really just following the directions from the kit, lol.

What it is, is why I love it sooo. Lol. It absolutely delicious. Five minutes each side. Perfection. Can't believe youre allowing what it is to ruin your love for something so damn good. Smh. 😅

Okay I get it. I’m interested to see how that turns out. If you pop a hole in the lid about the size of a pen, and seal the hole with rtv silicone, it makes a self sealing port you can stab through with the syringe and inoculate and when you pull the syringe out the hole seals itself and doesn’t let anything in that might contaminate that shit.

That's a nice tip to know. I'll update here once in a while how it goes. I'm pretty confident I can grow these things, we shall see lol.

Check and check lol, I have the essentials down. Took 1" foam board and wrapped the tote, the heat mat is in between the foam and tote on a temp controller. So temps are really consistent, humidity shouldn't be a problem during fruiting either. Now I wait a month or so lol.
