Ditch the tent and just grow them out in the trough. Close off a window or two. Kinda obvious what’s up in the room anyways. Just my opinion, or y’all could try and throw another scrog on top for dual layer and super clean the lowers.

Would be nice but it's gotta stay somewhat contained, we sleep right next to it lol. Might work if we get some tall ass panda film, the ceilings are vaulted. I've heard the second scrog doesn't do much...? On the lowers don't wanna hack off too much where it affects yield, but how much is too much

I had a 13 gallon rez almost empty overnight because a float valve was a little too tall in an autopot...good thinking on the pond liner thing.
I was just glad i keep all my cords up high so i mostly just get pissed off with wet feet but 3 towels and half a roll of paper towel and the room was really clean. Spills are now a good reason to tidy up.

And you put it together pretty damned quick and its clean and awesome looking in there. Well done. And wow do the plants grow fast in a water system.

Thanks gwheels appreciate the kind words yea it took a bit to collect all the parts but once we did it was go time. It's great to have a partner who is just as enthusiastic and passionate about all things weed. The setup went much quicker than expected partially due to this. Real life Legos. Good to hear your predicament didn't end up in disaster. The trough came in clutch again when I was filling the res then tried to multitask (harder to do when stoned). It filled quicker than I thought and flopped out. All in the trough. Shop vac and towel. Back in business! It really has been the unexpected hero of the grow so far. Credits to Jesse for sparking the idea with the pond liner, originally it was just going to lay in the tent or on the mat outside, we just took it a step further and built the trough. We're glad we did

So...when do these things stop stretching? Is there such a thing as too much growth (other than the space thing, like can it be detrimental to yield)? We're going on week 3 of flower and they grew another few inches overnight. Was totally different with coco. Might need to try that second scrog net after all, even though I've read conflicting opinions on the matter. Just like anything else I suppose. Really need to prune some more, idk how I'm gonna get to the back ECSD

At this point I’d trim anything under the first scrog , set another on top and weave the tops under it. They’ll grow back up through but should allow the time needed to finish without getting too much taller. Just my two cents.

Ever since finding these we've spent a lot less on buying individual packs at the smoke shop. Saves time too. This is our third round Got the wide tips on accident but same price as regular. Split em in half if necessary. Crazy how much the markup is. Costco step your game up, come winter we're gonna need a pallet of em.

Haha idk wtf these things are busting out some crazy shit man. I just got the supercrop and pk booster today. Let's see how that will do. Did you just start with the dose on the bag or go half like GH3 then work up?

I dunno if i'm the best guy to ask about that lol. I just use an old calmag bottle and make a concentrated solution. Then I just go by what the plant tells me. I honestly don't really even read the bag lol.

I just dose my concentrated solution of megacrop into the water until I get to the ppm I want. But yea, if I had to guess, i'm definitely not at full strength. Probably closer to half strength...

I was so happy to read that. Shit was definitely worth it. I saw the water pic and was like oh well that what the liner was for where's the shop vac lol. Absolutely A1 setup sour seriously definitely see alot of thought went into this. My only recommendation is defoliate. Other then you are doing a beyond superb job. Oh and go half the recommended. Not familiar with it, just that's what I apply to most things maybe even go a quarter.

I second the defoliation idea. You could probably remove 100 leaves and you would be fine. You should have seen the amount of leaves I pulled from my scrog last night! Enough to fill a small bucket, but the plants love the airflow and the increased light penetration.

Hope you don't mind the pics but they speak a thousand words. Look at the light and how far it penetrates after defoliation, and how dark the plant is before. That shit wasn't even getting light, and it was just raising my humidity which ain't good in flower. And it's a prime spot for powdery mildew. Just a friendly suggestion lol

I was fortunate to not have that problem, I was however afraid of root trimming. Now there is no going back.

Thanks man. First rodeo on dry nutes. Probably going to try mixing dry in the res to feel it out then use your solution trick if it gets weird. Did you eyeball the amount to make the solution? Keep it in the fridge or room temp?
