I absolutely love this place!
No really odd findings...... abandoned saw mills in the middle of nowhere, lot of old timber industry stuff left in the woods.
Coolest thing still yet to me after being here almost 50 yrs, are the elk bugling in Sept.

It's our "peers"...you know...those expert guys with the black t-shirts and podcasts who look like Taliban who now openly grow warehouses full of forced/fast ran commercial buds and sell t-shirts showcasing their seed company. Those guys.

but just think if there was no regulation. It'll be a bathtub gin kinda thing. Spray something "good" on it to make folks get a intense effect...color it...etc. No one in this country can self-regulate. Go to Wal Mart and tell me otherwise. Oh my.

I took a chopper ride over the Badlands when I was out there in SD in the 90's. Land of infinite views.
We camped at Sylvan Lake.
It's beautiful la

Doty Mill
Used to be the log pond here in this pic...had some killer native cutthroat in it once.
_DSC0400.JPG
Had to hike about 1.5 miles back in to find this place.
Fished it for about 20 years, then the timber co built a rd into the area and fucked it up forever.
Used to be beaver there that maintained the dam for the pond, they disappeared soon after the road was built.

Once it was found by others it was left trashed and ruined.
People are pigs and have no respect for treasured places.....this was a true heartbreaker!

I'm glad we don't have those out by us. The biggest cats we see around here are bobcats and even those are really rare to see out here. So rare that people think they saw a mountain lion when they see one :ROFLMAO:
Mountain lions are sneaky fuckers. Definitely make me nervous haha. A bear you can hear tromping around. I can usually tell what animals are around from far away. Every time I've seen a mountain lion it was just a glimpse and I had no idea it was there.
