Here's a pic of sum kind of grassy cover crop that I had recently in a pot that I did not intentionally do..
just added soil from compost bin when transplanted and it started growing.. a small patch quickly took over pot..
Just left it to do it's thing...
My other pots didn't have anything in top of em, and needed water every other day..
One with crop on top needed water every 3 days..
Definitely seen the plus side of cover crop from soil growers...

This was last year. We put a new roof on and replaced the siding this year. Still not done but close. Needs paint. And a few finishing touches.

That's crazy. How much does the temp drop at night? Seems like you might be in a good place for year-round growing outdoors.
