Will you be making these available for purchase?
Not sure. I reversed the Chem'91 for a write-up about STS reversing and figure since I went through the trouble of reversing her, I might as well put her to use. I have plans to take the Chem'91 S1 and refine through successive S2, S3.... generations.
What is the difference between this sour d and ecsd?
This Sour Diesel was shared to me as "Rattlesnake Diesel". Pressing the breeder who shared it for more info (
there isn't too much about it) he said it's an old Sour Diesel cut from Laytonville, CA. I know this breeder's source for the cut is a guy who has access to an amazing library of great plants.
In researching it, I found that Laytonville is in Mendocino county along with Rattlesnake Summit (
a geological feature). So I'd assume the "Rattlesnake" part of the name is just further reference to the region in which it was popularized/made/or shared. There are a couple mentions of "Rattlesnake Sour Diesel" through Google searches that come up as a relatively recent cross between Sour D x C99, but this cut pre-dates C99.
The Rattlesnake Diesel has a sharp, sour, electric "green-candy"-esque smell with a volatile fuel note. She doesn't creep when you toke, she'll twist you up in short order.
