Here I have two different types of vermiculite the top two are a lot finer grade than the bottom two
The difference between them seems to be that the finer vermiculite went straight into pinning and the coarser vermiculite the mycelium decided to colonize the casing layer...
solid jar of ,looks great to me, compleat take over by mycillium,i love this kind of stuff!!! are you still 1to1 with substrate mix /to jar? Here’s how the colonized rice looked before I mixed it into the substrate.

Yeah, it's about a 1:1 mix, with a thin layer of colonized rice on top, and then another thin casing layer of substrate on top of that.solid jar of ,looks great to me, compleat take over by mycillium,i love this kind of stuff!!! are you still 1to1 with substrate mix /to jar?
Hey. I have two syringes prepared at the moment. If I wanted to do what you did and grow a colony in a bag of rice, is there anything special I should know? I've done mushrooms a couple times but the nuances are trickier than what I'm used to.Yeah, it's about a 1:1 mix, with a thin layer of colonized rice on top, and then another thin casing layer of substrate on top of that.
No liners or paint?Sent that PE and B+ to bulk yesterday.
