    Cold climate growing

Solar, geothermal, space heater... The real benefit of the water is that is takes a huge amount of energy to change state so if you get some sub-freezing temps it provides quite a buffer.

    Cold climate growing

Along this line, i've heard of people lining their north facing wall 55 gallon drums of water. Water holds heat amazingly well.

    Cold climate growing

Never thought about this, might have to give it a try.

    Cold climate growing

There are quite a few youtube videos of people with high tunnels where the force air between two layers of plastic go maintain an insulative air barrier and without any other external heat they are keeping temps in the 40s and higher. That being said, i've seen some high tunnel setups with DIY...

    Cold climate growing

I'm hoping to be able to grow year round in a high tunnel in hardiness zone 5 so I was curious what to expect during the colder months.

Doesn't anyone have any experience growing where the entire growth cycle the temps are below 50F?

    Cleaning pollinated females

After a female has been pollinated is there anything that can be done to rid the plan of stray pollen so that its safer to interact with the plan without contaminating other grows? I feel like I am neglecting my the plants in the breeding tent for fears of contaminating my other grows.

    Mikado

Anyway. I have finally started growing these. They seem to be semi-autoflowers, except for the first few weeks they have been under 18/6 light but both my 2 males already have mature pollen sacs and 2 of the 4 females look like they have started flowering. I've got all 6 in a tent right now and...

    Mikado

I've found one site: https://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Mikado/Hazeman_Seeds/ There are a few others but the content is basically identical.

    Chemo testing

Thats the sense I was getting, thats unfortunate. What's your issue with them? I thought Jodrey basically calmed/settled all the issues the public had with Phylos. They don't have anyones breeder males so there is no risk of them actually stealing anyones lines.

    Chemo testing

There are a ton of labs out there doing cannabinoid and terpene testing these days. Does anyone have any experience with any of the labs? What lab has the most comprehensive test? What lab has the cheapest test? What labs work with small scale / armature breeders?

    AK47... body shaking high

All the strains today are so one dimensional. Its like we need to start over from the beginning again. This is why I am trying to collect seeds from as many landraces as possible... before modern genetics pollute everything in the wild.

    AK47... body shaking high

I had this experience sometime around 2000-2004.

    AK47... body shaking high

But did you feel like you just ate a gram of mushrooms?

    AK47... body shaking high

Back in the day I smoked some unique weed that had this crazy body high, almost like you were tripping on mushrooms. This was in my early days of smoking and don't know if I paid any attention to the name of the strain, if we even knew it. It was one of the most unique, awesome strains I had...

    Best Sour D Cultivar/Strain/Breeder/Seedback?

I ordered some Karma Dominator x Biker and Karma Sour Leda from Attitude Seedbank since I couldn't find their straight Sour D. I will check out some of the ones you mentioned. Ideally, I'd like regular seeds.

    FIMing

There is an allure when they are small and young to get the branching started early, but what I am finding is with the full spectrum LED lights the nodes are close 0.5-1" and the leave are on the smaller side. This means the low older node sites get hit with plenty of light and branch a lot...

    FIMing

After FIMing some plans and topping some other, I now fully appreciate why its "fuck I missed" and not "yay I have 5 tops"
