Is it stunted, or did it just stretch less. Talking about the hours of light a plant gets without any mention of PAR or DLI seems meaningless.

I guess in the grand scheme of things 5 days doesn't really make much of a difference, I just find it hard to compare growth performance to other growers when there is so much variability in seed germination times.

From what I have understood about this topic, the "dark reaction" means that the reaction does not require light, but most people seem to make the incorrect assumption that it means the reaction only happens in absence of light.

I fill an ice cube tray with water and put a seed in each one and leave them in a dark warm place until I get half inch tap root then I place the seed into a rapid rooter. On a related note, what do you guy consider day 1, the day you put the seed in water, or the day the cotyledons first appear?
