I've been waiting a week for my second flush to come in. Today I noticed that the cakes in my two remaining tubs looked like they were levitating...the second flush was coming in from the bottom of the cakes. I flipped them over and wound up needing to trash one because it had trichoderma on the bottom, too. Two of my 6 bags I have colonizing also got contaminated, so those got tossed. I wasn't as paranoid about contamination when I inoculated those 6 bags, and it shows, so I need to be way more careful next time. I'm thinking about trying this technique out for my next round

I can't recommend getting a pressure cooker enough. It makes everything easy to sterilize. I've used mine so far to make my own liquid culture jars and wild bird seed jars. I can run perpetually now without the need to buy spore syringes or grain jars or bags.

I was a dumb ass, and wasn't very sterile when I inoculated the last batch of 6 bags. 3 wound up contaminated with trich, and the remaining 3 have some wet rot at the very bottom, so I need to open those up later tonight and see if they are salvageable at all.

I'm stepping up my sanitation and switching over to inoculating jars. I will inoculate these today with B+ and Golden Teacher.
