Light burn, did you change lights a week earlier or lower the lights? The newer growth is adjusted to your current setup, but the lower leaves reacted to the change. These guys like higher humidity (50%+) and can also react adversely to changes in humidity as a warning.
The light burn sounds more likely. They are under a Spider Farmer 100w Quantum board and they might have been too or grew too close at one point.

I stopped trying to control the humidity a few grows ago. Just not worth it IMO. Right now, we’re about 34% and dropping as the temperature drops outside.

Man! How fast do these plants recover! In the next couple of days, they’ll all get up-potted to their three gallon forever homes. Except that one straggly Cherry Wine - It’s going to get culled. I just wish they were showing sex so I don’t waste my time and material up-potting any that’ll turn out to be males. That’s life I guess.

Everyone got moved up to three gallons tonight, except the scraggly Cherry Wine. I’m pretty sure it’s a male anyway.

This is Day 34 from dry seed and it’s only been 3 days since they were topped and 17 days since they were up-potted to one gallons from the initial 3.5” pots. That seemed like a perfect amount of time, because the roots were starting to swirl at the bottom, but they were no where close to root bound.

They also got moved into the tall tent under the HPS. I managed to squeeze nine 3 gallons in there, but one or two gotta turn out to be males. I’m going to veg in here until they are 8” to 12” tall then they’ll get flipped.

My new LED light hit Toronto today, so hopefully it won’t be too long before it gets here. I’m also hoping switching from an LED to HPS back to LED isn’t going to fuck them up.

You won't miss it...LOL. I know other guys rail hard on that VPD shit....but they have mold/mildew problems those of us growing at these low humidity levels never see. Below 40% and yer golden for avoiding most all mold/mildews.

Gotta love those cool temps too. Mini Split? Huh? Wha...? Pffft...nope....never.....not even when running 9K in lights in a 12 x 15 room.

Them plants are gonna explode...LOL. Thanks for the peek.

Day Three of flower. LOL.

Of the Reg seeds, I’ve confirmed at least one female in each of the Cherry Wine and Vietnamese Silver Leaf. There are still one each of those two to show and still waiting on both of the Orange Blossom Specials to show.

I’m guessing I’m going to be left with six plants - the fems (Lemon Tree, Sangria Cookies and Twinkle Tarts) plus one each of the regs (Cherry Wine, Vietnamese Silver Leaf and Orange Blossom Special).

The one Cherry Wine that hasn’t shown yet that I think is going to be a male has spectacular structure and leaf shape. If it is a male, I may move it to the office under its own little light to collect some pollen and hit the female Cherry Wine to replenish my CBD seed stock.

Here’s the whole tent:

My guess was right - I’ve got one female out of each of the three reg strain seeds I started - Cherry Wine, Orange Blossom Special and Vietnamese Silver Leaf. Out of the three fem seed plants, hairs are showing on the Twinkle Tarts and Sangria Cookies, the only one not showing any hairs yet is the Lemon Tree, but that’s going to happen in the next day or two.

Here’s that male Cherry wine that I think is a winner.

I took it out of the tent and I’m going to put it somewhere else in the house on its own little light and timer, until it spews some pollen, then I’ll hit a branch of the female Cherry wine.

In other news, I’m still in the process of assembling the new Growdaddy light. I spent a good part of the day scribing all the holes needed on the parts, then center punched everything. I’ll start drilling the holes and assembling everything this week. I should have it up and running before the end of next weekend.

Don't wanna clog up Old's thread....but to be succinct....I always thought 80F was getting too hot and 55F was too cold. Anywhere in between you can grow good dope. Like the humidity...here in the hills we run cooler/lower temps/humidities than most guys out there/elsewhere think you can run.

Basically...if ya don't need a heater or an AC.... yer in the zone

On the brink on this grow..for sure. Thngs are about to get serious

I try to follow the VPD chart but I also use UV lights to control mold and mildew and I’ve never had a problem. And I’m not trying to start a argument just making a statement that’s all. But if you guys are correct he can be a pain in the ass trying to keep temperature and humidity exactly right for a VPD chart

PICK YOUR OWN
I follow the VPD chart during seedling and veg some strains really respond positively but once flowering starts I kill the vaporizer/humidity I keep the girls swinging in the breeze more than most knock on wood I have never had a mold issue indoor anyway

Everybody sees it/does it differently. The guys back East are growing in far more humid conditions than we are out here in the Wild West without doing anything. And it is a pain in the ass...especially when you are starting at less than 30% at the get go.

But I'll still take that over the humid conditions some of you see...both indoors and out. Broke my heart to see so many of ya bangin' away out there all summer...only to get whapped at the end by boytris and PM. Crazy shit I couldn't deal with. My hat is off to those of ya takin the stab.
