Purple jelly pie at 5 weeks looking absolutely fabulous View attachment 87013
Both that I popped were male, but I only popped one at a time. One had beautiful purple variegated leaves like that early in veg. It's on my ever growing list to run again. It's like a game for me to try and get a taste of everything I get in the mail before the next batch of testers is ready. I always fail :ROFLMAO:

Ya I planted 3 had 1 male so I have 2 going but this one is the better of the 2

Here's the new set up. I could jam another plant in here if needed, but I until I am sure about the last bagseed it's fine. The volunteer plant is looking suspiciously like the Homecoming Queen, with the sprouts running vertical right along the main stems. But I didn't lose one of those beans after it didn't pop. So timing-wise the SSHP x Baguettes that I dropped and was a 'dud' a few months ago is the likely culprit of the 5 suspects since bothe were Baguettes crosses.
Sangria Cookies,Rock Island Rocket, Blueberry Freeze, CLHP, or SSHP x Bagguettes
I luckily have very few no-pops, and keep good notes :) IMG_3128.JPG
These are the "whatever" PD. the riper the better but when they need to go they go. Not in that big of a hurry to up-pot the little testers though, so with culling it might all work out.
IMG_3127.JPG
If I had known I was doing this I would have up-potted the Zkittles but I fed and soaked it. Probably tomorrow. The Homecoming Queen is browning up nice, so I pulled one in to play with and veg for a bit. Plenty of room for all 6 of the babies that I know will be girls.
IMG_3136.JPG
And the rest. As soon as the babies get housebroken they'll go into the closet and this will drop back to one light.

If it is whole malted barley toss a tablespoon per planter into your blender and then top dress with it, water it in, only blend up what you want to use for the day... You can slo take 3 tablespoon of freshly blended Barley per gallon of water and bubble for 4hrs tops and use to water plants
Ok, cool for growing plants, but this was also for treating the tubbed dirt. Something about enzymes helping break down dead roots.
Or is the plan to use it during growth so it's there when the dirt is recycled?

It didn't turn out 'full melt' but it is a powerful mellow. I have learned a bunch since then and got better gear so it's definitely worth another go.

I think working a bigger ball would be easier, so the PD harvest which should produce tons will probably be the next attempt. Looking for somewhere between golf ball and baseball size.

Lost the Lemon Tree seedling to something. The other 5 were up and perky, it was laying on the soil and had about an inch long shriveled taproot. I had another soaking within a half hour LOL.

I have always used it during the grow! Make sure if you make a tea u don't brew too Long, 4hrs tops, I started using it as a tea then progressed to total top, dress way easier and very good response

Just because I had some leftover after putting it in a container, I bubbled up a gallon batch and all divided it up between the plants with big pots. They each got a sip (maybe half a cup in a 2 and 3 gallon pot) but I am more of a top-dressing guy than a tea guy.

It has ground barley and empty husks, so I didn't grind it to flour. Is it better to get it whole? I assume this is to dump into a big batch of beer as is. And should I grind it a little anyway before top dressing?

If you can get whole 4 row malted barley it is like premium gas, they sell two row at the local brew store so I use it, but short answer is its better to buy it whole and blend up only what you need, personally haven't seen a huge difference but there is a difference...

I may have found a substitute for buddered coffee - canna-sugar
Jannelle that made the Ardent Nova always sends out emails with new info, recipes, etc. This canna sugar caught my eye.
How to Use the Ardent Vessel | Ardent Cannabis

I have zero idea what the thc content will be. Don't even remember which bud it was that was decarbed. But the decarbed bud was put in a jar of Everclear - it's only $19.99 for a half gallon here, $18.99 for the off brand LOL. 4 hours of shaking and soaking then strained it. (Green Dragon)
In the pie plate I have a 2:1 ratio of sugar to tincture. just stirred it up and in an afternoon it's pretty dry. The little jar is just completely saturated, with a little on top, then letting it evaporate slow. 🤷‍♂️IMG_3151.JPG
Kind of like using salt in isopropyl to clean bongs and such, the sugar doesn't melt in alcohol. I guess it leaves a layer of oil on the sugar?
IMG_3152.JPG
Anyway, if that 2:1 ratio works then I shoulc be able to control dosage with a little math.

I'm top dressing with it - figure a tablespoon per pot-gallon. I'll just add it at the same time I add whatever dry-feed I am already using. This was cheap, so if it goes in the garden no biggie. I'll look for the whole stuff in the meantime.

Thanks for the help!

I been growing hydro for a moment so I went back and ck my notes, 1tbl top dress for gallon planter, 1/8-1/4 for bigger planter, 1/2-1 cup per cu ft soil when blending/cooking soil for later use....

I have plants going too. I think that this tester cross must not like the mail. From H to JJ to me, and one leaf said 'fuck it' ;)
IMG_3154.JPG
Not dropping another like the Lemon Tree (which will hit dirt as soon as I see a nub) since it was just a curiosity. I'll stay curious. If this one sorts itself out it's a fem so whatever.

Now we play "Name That Strain!" for @J.James if we can :)

I whittled down the list of possibilities for what this plant may be to ones that didn't pop in the past few months since I got new seed starter soil.
Sangria Cookies - definitely not - longer flowering, and there's a side-by-side with a SC bag-seed in the last pic.
Blueberry Freeze - just NO :ROFLMAO:
Rock Island Rocket - ???
CLHP - ???
SSHP x Bagguettes - ???
The structure looks similar to the Homecoming Queen and the Corquembouche. Real vertical sprouts. The plentiful, uniform sized nugs top toi bottom resemble both, but the fact they are smaller resembles the HQ. The HQ clone pic is later too. So I am leaning towards the Baguettes cross.

And here's with the Sangria Cookies bagster - which I will be pulling for done-ness shortly.

To be clear, I hunt through soil for seeds that don't pop to see why - I'fe saved a few that were growing sideways or just hung up. But I like to see if there was at least an attempt to grow.

I know of one instance in that time period where I didn't find the bean, and I toss that mixed cup-soil into a tub to use to pre-mix with top dressing. - and my stoner ass can't remember when.
