Pro's not so pro grow.

This is a quick overview of the grow we just trimmed and currently drying. Will be doing more in depth updates on the future. Kinda thinking once a week or so.

OK so here's my second run of Bubblelicious in hydro. Decided to go with two plants this time cause space was waisted last grow. They started off as good clones and then I neglected them cause I wasn't quite ready at the time. So they got some root rot and just generally stunted. They also look like they tried to flower and then had to revert back to veg. Then I topped them both in this time which was probably too soon for their condition. So it took about a month after seeing roots to get them growing good.

Weeks 9-11 veg
Looks like they are growing good in week 9. Got cages wrapped around them for support. Should have been done sooner but I wasn't ready again. Would've been way easier in week 7 from the looks of it. Weeks 10-11 stem is growing and plants are looking healthy.

Week 1-2 Flower
I don't have a lot to say here. Still learning allot about the flowering process. They streched from a little under 3ft to about 4ft in this time. They got WAY wider though. Looking back I should have trimmed allot before flower but big plants for a noob like me are pretty overwhelming. It worked out good the way it did though. After week one the cages disappear. Netting probably wasn't necessary with this pheno but I put it on just in case. I'll let the pictures tell the rest.

I like your coffee cans and 5 gallon bucket hydro dealies. Is there somewhere I can read up on setting up something like that?
Yeah I think the 5 gallon ones are pretty standard for Deep Water Culture (DWC).

This is where I started down the rabbit hole and it just progressed from there. There's loads of good info here!

Just to clarify I don't do the top feed part. I did on my first grow and it wasn't worth it imo. From my readings i think it's only viable when the plants are small and roots arnt in the water yet. Personally I just raise the water level to the roots and they're good to go.

She also mentions to leave an air gap between the bottom of the net cups and water. I don't do this even when the plants/roots get bigger. I found my roots would turn brown and get slimy in that area. Raise water level to bottom of cups or more just depends if you used rapid rooter, rock wool, or bare roots to start your seed /clone. I do use hydrogaurd and would recommend using some sort of bennys.

Flower Week 3-5
Now the fun starts! They were getting too tall by week 3 so I had to start bending tops. I didn't bother tieing them down cause I'm new and thought it would be fine. We'll a few days later they were back up so I bent them back over. Did this process several times. I then posted here about another problem and @Capt C let me know I needed to tie them down from the start. Lesson learned.
Week 4 went pretty good but started to burn tips of leaves.
Week 5 can see more burn on leaf tips. During this week I made this thread to figure out what was going on. https://chuckersparadise.com/threads/some-help-needed.268/ @HydroRed got me squared away and back on track! I also defoliated. Probably should have been done sooner.

Nice grow @Streetpro09 . Looks like you have the hydro dialed in pretty well. Lots of flower on those two plants.
Thanks man! Definitely better than last grow! Lol. Doesn't really compare. Still less than I was expecting. Don't know if I have my goals too high or I underestimated how hard it is to get 1g per watt. I'm pretty sure this plant could do better!

Here a comparison.

Damn! i would think those two would be well exceeding that mark. How many watts do you have?

Capt C

It's 40"x70"ish. I'm thinking that's probably my limiting factor now?
Okay that is almost identical to the size i flower in. I am flowering 8 plants at a time. I am using a 525w light on a mover. I do not think i will hit that mark on this round. But feel i could easily hit the mark of a gr a watt. I am just saying if i were going to stay in that room i would drop down to one light on a mover. You can even get the light a little closer to the canopy as well. Not telling you what to do just giving you something to think about.
