To bad it's not in season....I love bear meat.

Yuck bear meat is so greasy and gamey. It takes a special cook to make that stuff palatable imo...

If dressed properly it's delicious.Boil before cooking if too gamey. I don't mind it, something I grew up on. Summer sausage, linguisha, burger. Potato cooked in bear fat mmmm.

This guy has been a pain. He's broken two Bear proof trash cans. Even after I strapped it to a tree I have no idea how he did it lol.

they make steel cans that have a water tight lid held on with a steel band with a bolt to secure the band .(if i member right around here they have spray foam in em, ten bucks )

Yeah we do, only thing is I've never been hunting before. I have no clue how to dress an animal or prep it for human consumption.

When we're finished crabbing and tossing the bait, they are always right there.
Seen em swallow whole chicken legs and thighs with ease.

This is my a passionfruit i found on my property and transplanted in the hopes of getting it to climb these poles and run along strings for an organic gazebo...so far so good.

It wont survive one of our hard frosts i bet, but imma try anyway to see how far it can get.
