I've tried everything . I am now trying sand on top of perlite and it's working so far

Crushed diatomaceous earth like from a pool filter .... it is microscopically like a thousand knifes that will cut guts of them bastards ... should always add a cup in your soil mix and sprinkle in top inch .... most souls come loaded with bugs anymore
