why would a person risk anything such as that, while they have a grow, going in the backroom,?
If it's in a legal state...they'd need a specific warrant/violation to simply look around yer house/bedrooms for an overrage of plants....and they know it. If they find a grow w/o a warrant it likely won't stand as a charge in court. Maybe if yer dealin meth...dunno...don't have that worry here!

If yer medical./a card holder...HIPPA laws come into play hard for them...as well as other public servants/entities...and for many incidents...it isn't worth the risk for the entity to make issue. The water utility my wife managed for years was the same way. They had a "No look/no talk/no mention/etc" policy for meter readers/workers/etc. Say nothing if you see it. Do YOUR JOB. GET OUT ASAP. It's only an issue if the meter is buried behind the grow...then you either ask for access...and if that access is denied...you notify them to reschedule the appointment after they have moved the grow to make access. Nobody was calling the cops/reporting anything/etc... it's a legal nightmare they don't need to do such things.

did the meter reader thing for a few years, when we were installing water main lines , never had time to look or chase a smell ,no reports to the office didn;t matter to the hired help, a few people would get nervose at first ,after about 6 months they were ,all ok with the bunch they had for meter readers.only bothered them when the water distric foreman showed to read a meter, he was a butthole.

military has access no matter what to your info under the Patriot Act.
Patriot act gives the gubmint access, not necessarily the military. It's designed to use spying to prevent terrorist attacks  But then there's that damn Constitution getting in the way...
