This is a bloody fine journal..
I’m finding it almost annoying how good you are at this already if I’m being honest.. well done

as far as everyone going on and on telling you what light to buy don’t even worry about it. Don’t listen to anyone (except for me of course...get a 315 cmh ffs)
They all have pros and cons. Ideally a bit of everything combined would be the best. Unless you live in the North Pole like me or love blasting a/c steady in your home (no judgment) hps is a no go..hurts me to say it but I haven’t fired one up in some time. Miss it tho. I prefer cmh to led in the winter (fast finishing sexy bud porn reasons) and prefer led in summer for the obvious heat reasons. Either one is a good investment. But like a 400 hps for bloom and a few florescent bulbs for veg although archaic, is a dream boat of a setup compared to not growing weed.. used a 400 for years. 1000 se also. My fave hps tho is a 150 watt yard light converted.
I’ll stop making this excellent journal worse by going on and on.
again. Nice work 👍

Yo bro I'm liking the cmh I added after seeing yours and a few others results. Had to run one of my own and see. Lol. Love my leds, but love that cmh now too. Kinda like my weed, I like a variety. Lol.
I do love em all. They can all grow great.
I still love that 150 hps for that reason. It has its place. Hidden benefits
let’s say your starting out and only doing a 2x2. The nice mellow radiant heat off the 150 keeps your temps and humidity under control and helps dry up the poopy dense potting soil you started with, borrowed from aunt Jeloris’ shed. You might need to power a dehumidifier and a heater and not be able to feed as often had one used a top of the line led rig. And powering a 150 is barely perceivable on the ol power bill. Now If one is wanting to grow out a 5x5 or hell a 10x10 one would be deranged to use like 40 150s😆

Lmfao. 40 little hps lights.
Theyd look so cute though. 😂😂😂
I'll keep what I got where it's at. Lol.
The bloom room is happy as heck with the mix of qb's, cobs, and cmh. I'm sure you know. Lol
Shit ya brother! I’m sad I’m downsizing after this round but glad you and @spyralout are taking the reins as far as random lights and spectrums everywhere to the point of madness. I’ll be doing a 3x3 using my cob fixture and little strip fixture (250 watts) with a 35 watt blurple and a handfull of 5000k led bulbs in between the two fixtures up until last third of bloom. Then I’ll toss in the cmh to finish strong and keep humidity low at the end. That way regardless of season I shouldn’t need a/c, dehumidifier or humidifier. (The led only through veg will let me get that humidity up nice)

I'm still "vegging" under 23w CFL's until my 2x2 tent arrives in the next few days. Been growing like that for a number of years now, let's just say veg is a low slow time for me LOL

Yep. I'm in a big transition here. Began growing, and then smoking more, and now I can't grow to keep up. Personal meds grower, and always looking to improve where it counts. Bigger plants in veg = more meds. Now that I've moved on from my (gifted to me) 250w HID, my eyes are opening wide. Glad I found this place.

Here i am thinking I keep fucking things up. You guys have been my saving grace. I don't know where I would be without all of the help from the people here. Thanks man. It is my intensity with anything I get interested in. It gets a bit crazy at times. I read all 8 witcher books in 2 days. A song of ice and fire took a week. And I've got so many collectibles related to each series I had to build a special shelf and dedicate a portion of my living room to it. But for real, thanks. This is my classy journal. In the sense that my genetics and knowledge are better. Ain't no classy motherfuckers in here. Lmao.

The lights part of growing has been the hardest part. I'm at a loss. There are camps for all of them and they all have their good and bad. I'll figure that out eventually. I just enjoy reading everyone's input.

Post as much as you want in here. I've actually discovered it helps my day at work reading everyone's posts in here and other threads. People going on and on is what makes it fun for me.

I’m in neither camp. Politically also. Don’t vote. I stay out of that shit. Maybe I’m Buddhist of something.
If you live in a generally hot, dry environment LED is a must. Cool and humid? HID (cmh, hps) environment trumps lighting preferences👍

My environment is kind of odd. It gets really hot and really cold. Then again, that is subject to what you consider hot or cold. Gets in the tens in winter, up to 100 in summer. My house is around 44 RH. The LEDs have been great for keeping temps and humidity in check. Stays in the high 70s Fahrenheit and 40-50 RH consistently.

I’m in an attic. Ambient temps range from 20°-120°F. It’s easy to introduce heat, it’s impossible to combat 120°. This compresses my growing season to 7-9 months.

It’s 20° up there right now, but inside my tent it’s 76°. Be sure that my first attempt at a grow room up there was a failure. Had to step back and come up with a better plan, like Wyle E Coyote or some shit.

I have learned so much from forums. The learning and the experimenting is addictive, but therapeutic. And the rewards are great. CP blows everything out of the water though. Everyone here is a gangster of knowledge in their own spaces. No dickheads either, well I can think of one

This is the best forum I've seen. The skill level and knowledge of the people here is mind blowing. Never ceases to amaze me. And people are just helpful. I may actually do exceedingly well on this run due to the help and expertise on this forum. I started on RIU and it wasn't a great introduction to forums. Someone once tried to convince me i had powdery mildew even though I kept trying to tell him it was just the light reflection on the leaves from the misting I had done. Glad you got it figured out. Every time someone succeeds it gives hope to the next set of growers.
