If they are droopy, they will perk up when you water - if they get light or nutrient damage that does not change. But the new leaves growing should not be effected if you fixed the issue.
If I had to put a dollar in the office pool, you will most likely see a problem with a Ca/Mg deficiency at some point - or some related deficiency based on those being out of balance. You shouldn't have any issues with nute-burn because we already covered the light feeding part
I started seeing better results when I started using R/O (or distilled but that's expensive if you don't have a source) and then automatically adding the cal-mag before I do anything else. Then if the feeding schedule I am going by says to add more, I add more. I also don't reduce it to 25% like the rest of the nutes. I think "cal-mag-burn" - if that's a thing - is rare enough that I am not concerned using the mfg recommended dose.
