What’s the stem rub like on this one?
I was gonna rub it then remembered it’s half away into flower lol. Just stuck my finger near it and got a good snort of sweet bubbleness.. not much else honestly maybe a bit sandlewoody along with the mellow (not sour) sweet. A bit of an old wooden ship smell with a hint of stripper perfume flave.. haha that’s the best I got bro. I smoke cigs so it’s hard to get the proper scents

Hey @Jesselikes2Grow you sexy old basterd.
Think a nimrod like me could instal a dimmer on these two units?

These cxa s here are using 65 watts each. From what I’ve read that’s driven far to hard for the old crees to be efficient

never tested this one power consumption wise, but it says 120 watts +-5%

Wanting to run em low with 2 x 315 cmhs. All together it would be near 900 watts at full blast. I’d like to run em at around 50 percent to keep watts and temps low (750 watts). They will be covering like 16 inches x 5 feet basically cause the 630 watts o cmh will be covering 4x5. Just need a strip of extra coverage out of those two. Can it be done?

Oh ya something worth mentioning, one thing cmh has on led..
I had a big bubblegummer with half of it getting hit with cmh and half with led. The buds on the half under the cmh were a good week, week and a half ahead of the led side in maturity. This is actually huge to me. This and the fight against too much humidity the cmhs put up. LED has got the win when it comes to anything else mind you. (Not hatin) I’m gonna be vegging with LED this winter looks like

What kind of drivers do they have? That's the easiest way if the dimmer is built into the driver. Otherwise you'd need to do some resistors and such soldered in line, and a compatible dimmer wired in. It's possible, but not easy. Lol.
Hope ya got a soldering iron, alligator clips, flux, and a steady hand.
I went for the built-in version my second go round

I will have to take em apart and see what’s up. I doubt the cheap drivers these units have will be dimmable. Might have to get crazy.. Sounds like a shitty ol time but would definitely learn somethin. I guess I could just toss em in veg and make a strip of 15 watt led bulbs for flower. I have noticed how much hotter they are as opposed to not having a bunch of tiny little drivers everywhere lol. Not hating the bulb setups cause we all know they are bad af (in a good way)
I should just order a real nice driver or two and cannibalize my led rigs and make a mongrel.

Fade ... Boy we're getting close. One more week of vitamins, a lil rinse of straight h2o and down they go. It takes more than 2 months of flower for anything sativa dominant. Its been 8 weeks so I'm almost ready to pull the plug.
Maybe take the upper buds of a happy MAC and isolate it under 24 hrs light and send her into reveg mode, spray her with thw juice, let her loose all over my next run?1031191756~2.jpg1031191758b~3.jpg

Nice work! Lookin good big studdly! should be smoking some fine ass weed soon enough brother

Nice! What you think of it? Pretty damn bright for 120 watts and cost ya like 60 cents a watt American lol. Doesn’t quite have the coverage or intensity of my little cob fixture @130ish Watts but I’ve found it pretty sweet. Never tested the draw on my cob fixture, but some folks reported up to 150 watts when tested so I could have gotten a good one lol.

I like it so far. It replaced the roleandro cob that was in there (180 watt). That thing was making the leaves taco hard and the plant wasn't that vigorous of a pheno in the first place. I have plans for both lights once I replace all of the lights next run.

Hey I got an idea.. @Jesselikes2Grow , @TerpyTyrone
Could I just order a wee new driver for my cob fixture so I can run em at like 25 watts each? Might it be easier to order a small driver to do so little as opposed to installing dimmer? Hmm I could order a decent driver and a few more cobs.. hmm. Must one run the same kind of cobs off a driver? Or could I run a few more better/more current cobs along with the ol cxa s? Or even a few qb panels?
