Reversing males

This is interesting as I thought about starting a thread on male selection. I know I've heard breeders talk about reversing males to see the trich production. I heard some breeder talking about this just recently and I'm wanting to say it was JJ Edwards but I'm not positive. I also heard it mentioned on one of Adam's shows. I have a hard time with male selection because I dont have the best nose. While this want help with that, coupled with structure and yield of male flowers, the reversal for trich production will make male selection much easier.
I posted this the other day during a male selection discussion. It kinda opened my eyes to the fact that we're really still looking at the same plant. Still don't know why it took forever to click for me.......

"I did just learn a real obvious trick to know what your looking at with males. Once they're flowering the leaf shape should tell you which "grandparents" it's leaning toward. I just look at leaf shape and Google, say.... purple Indica or stardawg or cookies in this case. Don't know why it took that long for me to figure this one out, but it's more than obvious once you combine it with the structure you're seeing"

I also take a loupe and look at the back of the petals after the pollen drops for resin production. I started doing this after subcool started posting pictures of this. Idk how much of an indicator this is but I have noticed different amounts on those petals.

That's a good one, I've seen a few males that will almost show frost. Kinda like when a female is in early flower, you can see the frost coming on, but it's not quite there yet if you know what I mean. I look for that too.

They have 10ml bottles of ethephon solution for sale on boobay. Cheap.

I damn well dont need a gallon of florel at one time. Other ideas?
I'm going to do some reading this weekend. Who all do we know of that talks about reversing males? I'll message a couple of them too. Somebody is bound to share a lil info.

sierra skunk from diff boards was doin it a few yrs ago, he was using Loran's Long Bottom Leaf male. Old timer, been around, supposedly connected but loves the dang Chemdog arguement no matter what, lol. But on the pharmer thread a few yrs ago, Rado and Cap and Barefoot, Thunderfudge and some others were just commenting on it. He was also doing a chem4bx3 male and a sfvbx male with pics, but the LBL was super frosty and even he admitted on his chucks that the f2's of prized male were either slow growing, and also not many seeds. but the trich production and terps were def there.
. "......I use chemicals to reverse my males to females or what you see in the pic. I do it so i can see how frosty and more so to see what kind of smells the male will give off. Now with all the labs i can even get them tested to see how potent they are. "
