That dirty ass hemp wick wrapped around a lighter. I found an old lighter and was grossed out with the ecosystem growing on it, that's when I started using wood matches like a Sir. Pinky out and everything
That was my first thought about hemp wick - then I saw a dude on a podcast catch his beard on fire... Thanks - no :ROFLMAO: That sulphur smell from lighting the match clings in your nostrils even if you let it burn off before hitting the bowl. That has to effect the flavor the same as smoking the microbially enhanced hemp wick

and it doesn't add the butane taste.
Maybe because I smoked cigarettes back in the day, but the only way I've ever been able to taste the flamable fluid making the fire is with a zippo. The butane burns faily clean compared to Ronsonol. I have no issue with butane. If you make sure the fire is lit before hitting the bowl there should be very little taste. Maybe people need tastier weed?

One thing I picked up trying to do the traditional chillum thing (two handed you can't flick a bic) was a candle. I got some hemp-wick bees wax candles that were super cheap for a pack of 1000. like 6" long birthday candles. It was like a pound of bees wax. I'll never run out 😂

Have you tried a dry herb vape like the Dynavap yet? Thats all I use anymore because you really can’t beat the flavor.

I have a couple laying around and it just doesn't thrill me. Vaping is like a completely different high, and it doesn't seem to last. It's like being locked to that little tube doing one-hitters all day, wondering if there's another hit left or if you should pack another... but knowing you'll need another hit.

Thats actually what I like about it. It gives me about a 2hr long high so I I can puff on it when I go somewhere and then not have to worry about getting stoned out of my mind all night.

As much as I'd love to puff cones all day. Discretion and dosage like Charlie said is what works well for me. Maybe once the kids are older and prohib falls.
And the flavor, literally makes my mouth water sometimes
That Headline I got from Skunktek did that for me (most recently) I've had a lot of great weed but when you open it up there's a smell like a salsbury steak dinner, and loudly so. It hit me like the County Line Hashplant does for just overall everything, perfect weed for me. I planted another and ordered the last pack off Dagga. If you see it elsewhere it's worth the price of admission. I want to see what other pheno's are hiding in there.

I can't place the Chemdog in that category just because of smell. I love the smell of Chemdog because it's Chemdog. If it didn't have that high the smell probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal. I care mostly about effect, but if you can get it all - why not?

Yeah, the flavor is just so much better to me. Since i got into vaping flower I can’t smoke weed anymore without it having an ashtray aftertaste.

Maybe, but I don't get that "2 hour high" you get from the vaping. It seems superficial. like just behind the eyes or in the head, but not the whole body effect I get from smoking. I get no pain relief from vaping I guess. It could be what years of smoking did to my lungs that makes my intake different.

On using the grove bags, i am ditching the little-baggie idea. packing an ounce into 8ths you ain't gonna sell is kind of a waste. I was heat sealing them so it was all gonna stay fresh longer, but i am storing it all in humidity controlled boxes. The little bags just meant stuff got more squished.

The bigger bags, and not heat sealed is the new thing. Easier to keep track of when you are running low on something you want more of.

I also took measurements and found some locking lit containers that fit my wine-fridge perfect. Plenty of airflow around the outside and it's only set to 60f - half between room tempand refridgerated. If power goes out there's no drastic change to cause condensation. The little can at the bottom has the last bits of stuff. Too big of a space not to stick something there. All have the large 62% packs in them.

Just growing notes for me. For you I guess it's full disclosure LOL

I used different cover crops for different pots. They all got clover but the 7g got bok choi, since it stays short and the topped plant may be shorter.
The 5g with the older plant that got flipped had an assortment. tom thumb peas, buckwheat, morning glory, and vetch; and the three younger ones I potted got mixed green basil and purple thai basil.

All was from harvested seeds except the clover, which I won't be buying again. The buckwheat was actually harvested from an earlier cover crop.

If I buy seeds it'll be food crop seeds. I'll be busting out the lettuces next. Inside is the only way I can do lettuce but having shelves of it was too much effort for a dude that doesn't eat a lot of salad. I just need it for taco's and stuff like that ;)

The lighted shelves will get going soon with some stuff that takes a while to get ready for spring. I am doing more strawberries from seed because it was real easy but super slow. And they taste so much better than the Bonnie varieties I've tried. But they're tiny. Maybe they get bigger next year, the plant is still green.

The next batch. That one Sour Hebrew National with no mulch is just a curiosity. I think borh coty's got damaged when it kept growing underground and I had to excavate, but it has two little leaves popping. The others have mulch because I am soaking the soil pretty good and going by cup-weight. The bare soil lets yo see when it's drying out for babies not getting lots of water.

The little muffin fan is about the size of a quarter and has three speeds. It moves very little air on low but the dome is closed except the cracked lid for the wire. I rigged one that was wired through the vent hole so the lid would close. I snipped the wire and inserted a WAGO so I could feed the bare wire through the hole. but that was a hassle this seems fine. That is my seedling waterer. Very handy to just give eash cup a "measured" squirt.

Damn. Last seed order and it got fucked up. I think Peter at Dagga will make it right, but we'll see what he comes up with. I ordered the Headline (Texas Shoreline) and got the Headlights (NL5 Haze) instead. To be honest I didn't notice until I was cropping the picture that it said NL5 Haze.

What's cool is that in the order notes I said "If you have anything sour lying around that's be greeeeeaaat" I got a fatter pack of the Sour Puss fems than I got with the 6-pack last time, then the other two also have at least one sour in the name. I am already smoking on the Sour Puss I grew out and it is another good one. Almost cured but the pre-cure test was fantastic. Now I have Covolo Sour Diesel, Sour Tangie and Super Sour Runtz in the mix.

When I say "we'll see what he comes up with" I mean that I ain't mailing them back.

So I will definitely have a NL5 Haze cross in the cup next drop. I've heard too much about it on the podcasts not to. When I read his description I decided what the hell, it will probably knock the edge off any haze-high stuff. I don't like the pure "nervous" weed.

"These are becoming my favorite, I have a lot of favorites but these are super special. Flavor, high, and terps are amazing. Fast flowering for a NL5HAZE cross. Got one tropical and some gas, piffy , incense basement dankness. Can’t wait to see what people find."

Plus: he grew them and smoked them.
Minus: it does sound hazy though. Since I don't know him "amazing high" is not descriptive enough. Could make you amazingly twitchy and paranoid? :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, I have the Macchiato hitting 8 weeks on the 17th. I use that as a baseling to see where the harvest window might open. They look dense and the tent smells between skunky and cheesy when you first open it. Not what I expected. I have room in here to flip the next three ChunkADunk on the 14th when they hit 4 weeks. Like the Macchiato, having that many I don't need a lot from them. And I have the 6-top project plant to let one get a little more mature before flipping.

What transplant shock? Everything is loving the new soil.

The CaD runt and the Platinum Ice shrub. Both just waiting to see what I'll do to flower them out. The Raspberry Boogie look pretty uniform, chunky. I was going to up-pot them yesterday but they weren't ready. The clear inner cups prevented potential disasters.

The stitching is were the lining ends on the pots correct? I like the height, I was under the impression that the liner went lower. I think I need to do some research.

Yes, and you can do it with celophane if needed. Keeps more moisture in for the biology.
