Don't think I've posted any pics of my best buddy....Max!
My blind 100 lb Labradoodle.
I've loved all of the dogs I've had in my life, they've all had it made.
But this guy is special, lost his sight from severe gloucoma last year at 7 years and had to remove his eyes.
Broke our hearts, it was incredibly hard for this family.
A year later and he has adapted better than I ever would have imagined.
He is beyond astute with his other senses, he truly amazes me!
Remains to be a cool, happy, good natured and super smart Max!

I went out to get a pic of the wasp nest in my shed doorway. Just a metal shed and this is on the inside. When I open the door you'd think they would swarm, but I know they are there and we are cool.

They just had babies. You can just see the little egs they are covering up.

I also have these and lots of other wasps - and I haven't been stung in years. One of these landed on me to drink sweat and I almost freaked.

I have little house wren and other mini-bird nests everywhere. Can't use the watering can this year

I don't know if the birds ever laid the eggs here or if they realized ir would heat up like an oven in summer... The garden lizzard loves it.

@H.A.F. The jaws on that wasp look like a pitbull, must be a bug killer! or cow ant catcher!

Can't count all of the copperheads I've killed as a youth.
Quite a few 3+ footers, never thought about a hat band.
That would've been really cool.
@Slowdrawl seems to me the big ones at about near 4 ft would be closer to 3 and ahalf inches round, would be hard to put those snakes i a 4in. water main. Maybe it's just old skull memories? Thomas Boyd was the go to reloader, hat band, knife maker, man in our area. he had a bad drinking problem from time to time he striped one down till it tore, but not often!

I would love to see some updates now and then on that good old boy. Dogs are close to my heart best family members really.

Found this beautiful plant today!
I went wandering today and found stuff too. I planted a bunch of comfrey around my place from seed. I have three places where it survived, including this one that's thriving.
