This is the 18/6 and/or whatever comes in the window room. I have the worm bin in here with a second arriving today so I'll be playing with that.
Most of this is going outside as soon as weather permits. The two broad-leaf plants are the comfrey.
IMG_8801.JPG
The two plants on the side are male and I am watching them close to see what happens. Not advancing in flower at all, even though the light is way less than 12/12. Keeping them happy and healthy though so it's a win.
IMG_8807.JPG
15g compost bin under that table that is not smelling at all. Bokashi is great. I have mycelium filled wood and random hardwood forest stuff thrown in for a long-term cure. It has outside worms added, mushrooms, moss from fallen limbs - whatever I find, and they get the dried cover-crop clippings and leftover "food" or microbe water when I have it.
IMG_8810.JPG
Speaking of hardwood forest - bored stoner project that came from walking in the woods while smoking some Chemdog  🤷‍♂️
IMG_8814.JPG
But most of that stuff is overflow from here that is also waiting on some warmer weather. After that I can bring them in at night if needed, but they don't need lights at that point. Never buy a fucking tent that is 18" deep - a 1020 tray will not fit in that direction. Great for two small auto's though.
Side note. I put some FFHF batshit organic topdressing on everything since I am not using it in the grow anymore. This morning there was a beautiful mycelium cloud over the top of the soil. Whatever they are selling, it is active.

Watered and defoliated, up-potted The Cream to a 5g. The Road Dogs still haven't shown, but the second Rosk Island Rocket was male.
I have it beside the other one with the garden stuff. Monday I am sticking the garden stuff outside so if it comes back in it just gets the kitchen table or whatever. No lights needed. Which means I am starting the male-keeping journey and will make my first cull. Of the two RIR the one that showed later would be more desirable. The fact that I still haven't gotten a girl yet leans me away from that cross though. Checked the records and out of 6 beans I dropped so far (2 at a time) all 6 popped male.

The Space Queen has way too many limbs still but any I trim now will be shorties. These were worth an experiment

IMG_8820.JPG
In the morning I'll put them in horticubes. three were "planted" at the node, the taller one just had a 45-cut on the stem then some scratches just above it. Unlike the Grandpa's stash these are flower clones. Probably not keeping anything but I have room and water so why not.

Probably a week from harvest on the first of these.
IMG_8873.JPG
The Road Dogs still aren't showing any sexy bits but they're not stretching much so that's cool. Took those top center leaves on the upper one so they are pruned the same now but looks way different. Everything is putting out enough growth to make flowers for me that I am snipping some away, so the run will be a win.
IMG_8874.JPG
I took a few clones of the Space Queen, but more as a sturdy, prolific pollen catcher later. I'll get more smoke than I need from this.
IMG_8875.JPG
No heat on the clones except from the light. Misting them a few times a day and letting new air in
IMG_8876.JPG
The known girls haven't skipped a beat since re-pot either.

On second thought, with the Space Queen it's a fem bean. When I get to the chuck I'll drop one or two if that seems like a match for the male.

The 11-week Chocolate Thai Zkittles from Riot is 2 zips of nice. Zero Zkittles unless it did something for structure. It's only at a week, but the larf was smooth old-forest pine and mulch with a good active buzz. Got a tone done today.
IMG_8890.JPG
Pretty dense,

IMG_8893.JPG
low leaf ratio on the buds and what was there brushed off with gloves. No scissors except for the stems.
Mainly three crows-feet leaves to peel off of each nug. IMG_8883.JPG

So far the plastic pots have not been an issue with living soil/worms. Having the cover crop and mulch and keeping it moist up top and there have been no escapees.

Since escaping worms is a good warning sign it might not be bad to go back to the 1g interim pots, but full-on living soil with the worms. I am not paying to have soil tested, and every pot would end up different anyway, but watching them in the 1g's will be a good way to check the veracity of the latest iteration of the soil.

Right now I have an 18g tote of the ready to use, aged stuff and the 4 or less in the mini tent to up-pot. I have three pots from culls that still have the cover crop growing and one Road Dog waiting to show before I mess with those.

Took a ton of pictures to check trichomes, 2 came out clear. Both are lower nugs, no clue which plants, but I'll need to start checking closer shortly.
Both pics have clarity at a certain depth, so there are different spots on the pic that came out clear. Just happened to be the right stuff.

And some zooms

This has some cool variety. In the first zoom you can see the "stem-rub" trich's with no stems.

8 weeks 4 days into 12/12. IMG_8997.JPG tossed three nanners on the top.
IMG_8996.JPG
This was the most unremarkable of the 4 plants (plain green) but looks like it was going to start to pull some bud color.
All of them are on bud-watch already for trichs and this was on the short list of ones almost ready. I can handle 3 nanners that don't mature.
If I can find this again I'll get better pics-
IMG_8998.JPG
looks like a ginormous trich.
IMG_8998 (2).JPG
Posting the short version on the contest thread. I'm tossing it in the dark and fucking with it tomorrow.
Nothing on any of the lower stuff, so it was likely light intensity. May dim the lights a bit for the grand finale.

Are you just gonna pluck em and call it a day then?

No. It's gone.

I stuck it in a closet for the night (dark) and I'll chop it tomorrow. Just don't feel like messing with it at the moment. I'll pluck low flowers for a bit around week 3 to see if they stop, but late nanners are like the turkey button. It's done. ;)
Right on . I had some copper Chem that did it just on the top cola. But I wanted a little more amber so I plucked em and let em go for a bit longer. I had other stuff in early flower and didn’t want to seed them. Figured they wouldn’t open but I wasn’t willing to risk it.
