😄😄🥸 i can already tell i forgot to punch a hole in the wall where the valve goes lol... 🤦‍♂️😅
Not bad being ablt to do a full production run in 5 hours and be able to fix more than one thing (if needed) on the program before trying again. And cheaper than I thought it would be (but I bet you aren't including the equipment purchase LOL

Ender 3 is about 200$ on sale. Under 100$ in upgrades. 20$ filament. Tinkercad free. That's it. 👍👍🥸

It works :) 20210514_192530.jpg
I tested it out in a bucket...
i went ahead with trying out with making it a2 peice, and glad i did. The second print, prints without any problems and fits snugly into the triangle feed line. It has 4 streams that shoot downward and looks like it will work well. I think this will work much better/sturdy than a solo cup and will allow me to auto water

Only thing I can think of now is to use some silicone on the connection and up and down the feed line wall of the container, to prevent roots from growing through...

Oi... I am pretty high atm so this might be a horrible idea but with a couple nice strategically placed strips of clear contact paper and liberal slathering of pest cement you would have one BAD ASS sticky trap going on... I wonder if the plants could take the fumes though.
Your tubs are looking killer LC, GJ man!

signal-2021-05-16-193559.jpgswitched things up a bit. Instead of the flood and drain, im gonna go recirculating with coco. Here's the final design i came up with. 1 pump 3 tees and 4 water rings per tote,4 tote total.
I'm still gonna ebb and flow my 2x4 and possibly my 3x4, but I was on the clock with these seedlings that are 23 days old and blah blah blah

More later gotta run 😁🥸

Also haven't tuned up printer, and she is still printing like a champ! Each water ring takes just under 6 hours. Shes made 6 so far 👍signal-2021-05-16-193832.jpg

Well, i keep changing the design...
The one fear I had with ebb and flow, or recirculating, or dwc, is that the reservoir gets nasty if the temps are high.....and my temps are high, high enough anyway.... my rez on that test ebb and flow setup is nasty af...

So, scratch that last plan!

Here's the final design.

Gonna top feed and drain to waste, like ive been doing, and now i can feed 4 plants per tote with this setup. And tote will act as drain catch. I can finally stop racking my brain trying to figure out how to do this correctly!

It's probably for the best. That blue one just doesn't fit in. 😉

Where'd you get the shrink tubing?
Its 1/2 inch vinyl pond tubing. 25ft 10bux amazon. Gotten it like new for 7 once...

This damn setup was so frustrating lol. Figuring out how to automatically water 16 plants, inexpensively, was somewhat of a challenge, but ultimately, KISS.

I'll take the final setup pics here in a bit when the babies get moved in.

Huh... Hell I could just drop those 1 gal fabric pots right down inside my 10" net pots make some feeder rings like I was thinking out of the perforated tubing I use for my diy air spiders and hook em to a rez with a pump on a timer. That would make my summer time gardens much easier to manage. Looking good LC!
