Any of you guys grow in coco/perlite?

Im at wits end and been battling this grey algae for almost a year and at the point of abandoning my rdwc system and going with a drip system.

Use something like this.

But not sure if you just let it drain off on the floor or have to recirculate it?? Seems to me it would be dirty so a drain to drain lol how many plants in a 4x4 area? 4? I have 1 big flower area a 12x 16 and another one the same size which i use tents. I have 5 2x4 tents that i use for flowering and a 4x8 that i use for vegging. When plants are big enough to flower i pick em up out of the water and place em in the flower locations and smash down a net on top. Thats essentially how Ive been doing it for past few years. I need something automated cause im not around for watering 2x a day when lights would be on

I always was curious how one would figure out how much they need a day

I would just run it drain to waste rather than saving and recycling/recirculating. If I was doing full automation I’d set it up for feed/watering multiple times a day at a lower ppm lvl and dial in that dry back.

In my rdwc i always liked to stay under 600 ppm.

Im just not sure while running more plants albiet smaller if i shouldnt divide that bigger room up into 2 halves. Ive read where drippers only run for 1.5 min 2x a day right after lights on and 2 hrs before they shut off. I guess that depends on how big of a plant and how much media yougot to support the plant. A dry plant is not going to be happy.

Im running 2 water chillers and that will save me some electric right their not to mention all the pumps i have

Floraflex in soil FTW. Soiless mediums will still have the same algae and root issues. I love rdwc but was just to much headache trying to prevent shit. Made it to where is just to much work to justify the benefits. Floraflex and soil pots. Set em and forget em.

Its best to have the net filled in 60 percent before you flip. You want your bud sites above the net not under it
