For all the s*** and abuse this plant gets, it is incredibly forgiving, and immediately hooks up and starts regrowing - when I can provide amicable growing conditions.

What a champ. This plant has frost damage from leaving the door open. This plant has char marks from a propane heater. This plant drops leaves below 5.8 Ph. When I turn the lights on today- the nutrient solution was 13 and 1/2 Celsius.
I swear: not only skeleton, even part zombie.
I have killed this thing, and brought it back to life sooooo many times.

I hustled to hoard it in, and now am learning to manage heating and moisture control. The air is manageable , it is the water temps that keeps pinching me.

Jewels tip of the day
I am trying to dail in a 60w heater. I have a 300W heater; but every sage fishkeeper would never install a heater that was potenialy lethal on a run away.
You see- when an aquarium heater fails, it almost always is because of a fused thermostat. The heater turns on and cannot shut it self off. If you have an overpowered heater capable of deploying enough heat,,, the day your heater dies is the day your fish/ plants die. The heater 'goes nuclear' as my Pops would say.
This is one of the rare instances where I will recommend under-rated power. If I find my heating requirements are 150 watts , then my heater of choice would be two 60 watt heaters. A beefy heater may cycle on only 10% of the time ; but a 60 watt heater is not capable of boiling my water.

There you have it.
A couple months ago I had zero plants, no space and no prospects. This is all new to me.
I am flowering three strains in one soup pot and they dont like it. The Canuk Cheese turns brown over 6 Ph, and the Skeleton turns yellow under 5.8 Ph.

I am the guy that joined the forum with one cannabis seed in his pocket. You folks have been very welcoming and patient while I have been ear f****** you for 3 months with no bud porns.
I finally have my very own buds to show off. ,,,,These ones don't count - I stole them:cool:

Jewels 'first run at hydro'. I had popped those on Christmas Day.

Mid June I lost my job, a couple of weeks before harvest.

I was feeling the financial pinch and experiencing some emotional skulduggery. I pulled the plug in the veg rom as well, and let my clones die.
I was dark all summer.
In so many ways.

Mind you, I was unemployed and had a pound of weed in the jar, so I got busy building a garden in our detached garage. I slapped it together on zero budget with junk on hand. I also had time to finally materialized my new Hydro setup.

Better times now.
Indeed I was plantless and broke, with one dry 'hope' bean in my pocket when I joined this forum. I came here on invitation for the Solo Cup grow ,,,but literaly didn't have any seeds to participate.

So, Non @TerpyTyrone , not my first grow. The first plant I ever harvested was popped on Christmas Day; so I am still less than one year into this journey.

Preparing for third harvest.
With the exception of the crapshoot Skeleton cookie, all of my plants are looking the picture of health.
This grow has me sweating. I am defenseless against the icy cold weather. If my power goes out, I am less than 1 hour from Doom. I did buy the propane heater and hopefully during an outage, I can keep them warm enough before they drown.
It is just sooooo sketchy. I can see myself, mid-February shivering in the dark , with a blowtorch and a drill pump. We shall see.

I managed 11 oz on my first go.
13 Oz on my first Hydro attempt.
I am damn-termined to beat a pound on this one,,,full retard at 2lbs

I am going to grab a longer clone from the second internode and try my luck on a stem cut. I will wait for the lowest branch to internode a couple more times and grab another clone @ 10 days flower.

I am going to stagger these into flower one week apart. I really suck at the (plant)sexing. I think these are female. I cant really tell.

Jewels...i do not understand most of what you do but wow the plants are healthy.

Like really healthy,

I always hoarded my beans and one day....and this is like a fairy tail and shit but it just hit me like a 10 pound maul

Spread the seeds...you have too many.....

And I can honestly say those 2 dudes made some stellar buds....My friends got my seeds and grew outdoors .

They said hey G we need triple. Last year your buds were fucking awesome sauce and others were lacking

And wow does that make me feel GREAT!

But.....I am going to kick your ever loving asses with my skeleton cookies in the 2 litre challenge

And for the record NO one will tell ME how to live. Pretty much ever.

The next photo's are Skeleton Cookie that went in 'too early'. I have the same cut gen - yet bulking in veg, and another (taken @ flip) generation as well. The indica clones finally took, and what turned into an embarrassment of riches I now have the Beagle Indica fleshed out , as well.

I figured I gotta stuff it all through at some point. As I have been steadily popping beans every two weeks or so, I just need to learn how they all fit and flow through the flower room.

I did get a little stingy , and I am planning on holding the Beagle Trio in veg ; to potentially use as mother's ,if any of those random Beagle family fugitives are worth sheltering.

I have 7 strains flowering right now, yet I only chose one.
All three in the hydro prototype are gifts from enlightened constituents of this paradise.

The entire Beagle Trio - labled

'Ma Sativa' (unknown Sativa)
and "Dogs breath" ([no relation]unknown hybrid)

Some of you may recall that I agreed to flower the "Beagle boys" in order to tilt the table on a custody dispute.
They are all fugitives in my mind, so I named them accordingly, after the cartoon character criminals.

The THT - 2Stroke Tangie is the first seed I ever got from my wishlist. Actually, it tops my wishlist. It is a genius cross that I failed to even conceptualize. I am freakout giddyy to be running these testers.

I began to get rammy in the flower room, because I was feeling flush a while back, and I put in an order for 10 strains of my choosing. A flower room has never enough room. I have a few of them on the go, and they will need a spot @ some point.
I can't wait to introduce you to them.

@THT , you can add 'drought resistant' to the menu.
Jewels messed up big time.

My son called me up to help him with a roofing job, and I was still driving Skip, with my wife, on the night shift.
I managed to stay up late enough to turn the lights off/ on in the flower room. I however, neglected to make it downstairs into the veg room,,, on the second and third night.
These were in the 1G up pots, I photo'd last week.
Look on the lower right,,,there is a white bucket.
Regard the lower left,,,there is a yellow bag.
What do you see in between?

The hydro triple is looking mostly dead on the top left. Top right looks slightly worse.
The third plant is actually in the centre of the photo !
'F'Nflatlined.

Friday 5:30 pm
Are you familiar with that gut wrenching feeling of dropping your grinder on the floor ? Or watching your cell phone fall down concrete steps?
I love my plants. I make jokes about tip toeing to the flower room, and I giggle while I mix up delicious imbibements for them.

My door was sealed tight for odour control.
It was 30 C ( 80ish? F ) at the ceiling.
I first glanced at my cuttings on the right and they looked just fine. In the centre of the room my rooted clones all looked happy enough. Glancing left,my guts got hot and dropped right through my bunghole.
20191102_173033.jpg
There is a plant in the front-centre of that photo.
I realized that I was pacing and that is my cue to triage.
Airway, breathing, circulation
I stood there, with my hands in my pockets, and struggled to come up with a plan.

I didnt have any Bronto (it's got what plants crave) , so I knew it was up to me to concoct the ultimate Elixir, that would bring sad, soif, sac back to life.

If anyone is interested here is the recipe :

I took a rectal probe and found the soil to be 24C. I match the water temperature exactly.

I recalled in that moment, that severe droughts can cause a massive pH upswing. I didn't want two swings in one day, so I aimed a little high @ 6.6 pH.

I utilized non-ammonicaly sourced nitrogen with 30% RO to further reduce Ph down-trend.

I added a carbo-boost, vitamin-b and a squeeze of humics to initiate uptake.

I have pussy-footed around healthy plants before and I always seem to regret it. I usually have been feeding these at 500 parts per million. I was slightly apprehensive - but I knew there was some magical osmotical imbalance that had to be to be tipped. As such, I mixed up the resuscitative juice at 350 parts per million.
It felt strong to me , however I believed that something had to push the juice in.

I took a pencil and drove it to the bottom of the pot, at least half a dozen times.
I proceeded to pour 2 gallons into each pot ,until it bled across the floor.

I continued to run the lights 24/7, however I did move the 400 watt MH from 14", back to 30 inches from the canopy.
At no time did I touch the plants, and when I left the room ,the door remained slightly ajar to slowly cool the room down.

I managed to return to the veg room about 17 hours later.

Sometimes I get lucky.
This.

I must have startled her with that dry pot. Perhaps she just want to to hurry up and have some babies before she died.
So,,,considering the one still in veg is already showing sex under 24 hr daylight
,,,and the second one spent the first week of flower androgynously,,,
Would that imply two seperate phono's ?
One that matures/sexes quicker than the other?

I am so poor at the plant sexing game that I usually spot stacking sac males before females.

Let us not forget: I do have one confirmed female, and it would be hard for most to understand how ecstatic I am about that.

I cant grow roots on the Skeleton in the foreground. I have seen the very Hand of Hiesen dwarfed by a BBC leaf. I cant make mine happy. To close to the cold door? It has absolutely self-lollipopped at this point.

The Zilla has huge leaf, with blackout canopy.
I lowered the fixture ( I shoved it in her face) to hit 1100 ppfd in a 3x3 area.
Temp is peaking @ 33C
Res. after the aquarium heaters @ 19C.
I am going through buckets of fish water.
I top it up with fishtap, for a couple of days, as needed (until I have used 8 gallons) then I top up the nutes, back to 900 ppm.
I am blasting it with my whole sack of tricks,,,and she is taking it!
That room will suck down more than 400 ppm of CO2 per hour. My diesel is going have propane turps!
I guess if I was some kind of quantumathematismalbotanist, I could tell you what my yield will be.
Skeleton is disadvantaged and Cheese is a run away. No more polycropping common buckets.
I have heard one may jack a full pound from single plant. That is my noodle-dream. My best- is half of that.

20191105_134543_HDR.jpg

Speaking in its favour, this plant clones easily, finished around 60 days, branches all day, and it does produce more bud than leaf. Another bonus, the smell is more upfront, when compared to Ma Indica. Very minute leaf and stalk on this one.

Still lamenting, even now ; I never did pump this run up. I console myself and say that I was beaten some sort of obscure technicality. I wonder if night time temperatures were too cold during budset, leading to a permanent handicap. I had mentioned once before about cooking the roots off dry as they flipped into flower. I am NOT going to beat myself up, knowing the plants were healthy the whole run through.

My goal on this hand-me-down project was to improve flavour.
I have been formulating a grass-roots epiphany on the topic. I began to wonder about cannabis flower maturation and THC development . I began to think about ripening and it's inherent processes.
I could see by the 4th week of flower that these plants weren't going to do much. I stopped pushing them, and I began to feed them sweetly and lightly, also at the same time moved them off into the corners, where they received dismal amounts of light.

"Welcome to retirement, here is your bran muffin to keep things moving and OJ to stave off the diabetus all day, so as you can die in your sleep,,,now go sit in the corner and watch the kids. "
My idea was to take a flowering plant, in its peak, and move it into a old folks home. I wondered if the robust plant would start to act geriatricly.

Dunno.

The plants smell like a million Pesos, and to my delight, I can spy endless fields of bulbous, erect, golden mushroom trichs.

At this point, in my journey, I couldn't care less what they look like in photos. I get down by candlelight anyhow. 🍆🕯🍑

2Stroke Tangie front centre.
Zoom in to the left of that. That is Dogsbreath. Branchy all day, budsets everywhere, and always more bud than leaf.
The fate of the entire beagle family will be determined in the next few weeks. Two have been dispatched and the remaining girl has had her last meal.
The nose on the Sativa leaner has broken all records in my garden. Also, if that dogsbreath is going to produce like a hot damn, it may earn its keep around here.
They have all spanned out, and beef'd up fan leaves surrounding the lead bud. It reminds me of the 'lions-mane' found beneath a finished bud.
I think this tells me the plants have taken their final shape?
If so, I am quite content. I have never flowered plants this small before. All are clones, topped at least twice. They flipped in at about 12 inches tall. I can see that they are not carrying much extra baggage. I pinched off all the dinky buds and left no more than three bud-sets below the lead cola.

Correction: Not all from clone.
Front and centre is 2Stroke Tangie (squat2) test pilot. She is 5 weeks from seed, and two weeks into flower.
Two confirmations on female now.

The camera angle on the group shot is flattering. Yet, 2stroke does carry the largest fans on that slab.
I took six clones off from it yesterday. I can still see secondaries, poking their heads out, near the top of the frame.
I did not top this plant. At this point , it is too late to take a top clone. So I kind of F'd myself on that one.

The lowest leaf does show stress from the constant blowtorch parties.
I also inadvertently mixed my soil slightly heavy and compounded the problem by not having enough drainage on the container. I can tell it is sitting in poopy pants. I have only watered it twice since I put it into flower two weeks ago. It needs liberation via perforation.

Looks like meat is back on the menu, boys!

I need a drying solution.
The only reason I am out here fighting the cold, is to keep the stank out of the house. I refuse concessions. I must figure this out.

I have accumulated material for a stand alone Küre-rig; although that is not ready yet.

I had tent poles just long enough to span the depth of this arborite counter.
First I cleaned it and chased out the scary ghosts with unicorn ghost repellent.
