That fruity funk really comes through week 8 on the Welchie and to the finish when the terps really build. She is a beauty man I love the structure and I know it makes awesome hash.
And it smokes pretty good like it is too Day 70 looked berry berry good to me !

My chem was so hairy i had a few people bitch that i needed to trim em off, did it both times i grew it out totally different environments, so id say its genetic imo

Is your flower room a little on the warm side? 78+ degrees Fahrenheit? Cooler temps seem to help calyxes swell but that grape sato does kick out some hairy buds, especially the obsm.

78 to 79.8 with lights on. IT drops to 65 at lights off. I think its why the purples are coming out so much.

Temps seem on point. If its not directly related to strain, high N can also be a contributing factor for that and foxtailing in late flower.

Oh its the high N i am pretty sure. I will try and control myself and keep it lower than say 1300 Skunky VA was 1600 there for a couple of days. I double nuted a bottle i think or something Egads!

And now that I have started using a trio formula for the water systems in bloom i can adjust the N pretty easily by reducing grow and increasing bloom accordingly.



Me and the garden need less stress in our lives thanks for steering me in the right direction.

And I measure twice and pour once...like a carpenter but with water!

I've been getting a lot more foxtailing and after Red just mentioned the high N it dawned on me that maybe issue with canna. You cant really adjust the formula the way I could with general hydroponics 3 part. Might have to switch back.

In the same medium, same nutes, same tent, I have calyx heavy plants and plants making hairy buds. They are different strains. I think it's mostly strain related.

But if there's any way to push a plant to be calyx heavy, I'd love to hear it.

I did the same with MC (being a one part). Used it alone & then added bloom boosters in weeks 4-7 of flower for a cpl yrs. Since recently defaulting back to 3 part GH, my flowering plants have been less tip burnt with same PPM range as MC and I only notice the foxtails now on strains known to put em off late flower like the GG4.
