Crimson Grows

Awesome thanks for showing that. Very interesting. Let's say 6000 low to 40000 high - 85% difference? Looks lit up really nicely well done (y)
I’m not sure on what is the % to hit or if there is any but plant sheds the leaves that doesn’t get enough light as they don’t do photosynthesis well. Not one yellowing leaf on the 90 cm deep vegetation. So thats really good penetration. And again this reading is from a spot where the top gets about 35000 lux (with the flap open) so in the middle of the tent it should be even better. The sensor is also under several layers of leaves on these readings so overall, yeah 450w of cob is really enough for a 4x4.

Some early bud porn, call it “teens gone wild” type porn if you will. Hahah.

Here lies the future Indigo Lily x Dinachem cross. It was a success. And from the first batch of pollen which was mostly from young pollen sacks. So that works and keeping them in the freezer works also. I mixed this pollen with DE and starch, sealed it in an eppendorf tube and then into a brown pill bottle with some clay pellets. Well anyway, i’m glad this worked also just now dusted an NL cut, flowering in the pheno tent, with Dinachem pollen from the second batch. I’m thinking if this first batch works, second batch will too.

I want to reverse my NL asap and do some crosses with the pollen. Just need to see if seeds form with the Dinachem pollen. If it does and if i see some sacks with seeds poking out i’m gonna wash it down, move it to the flower tent and utilize the pheno tent as my breeding tent and will do the NL first.

Did you giggle when you tip toe'd up to the tent ?
Your eyes musta popped out when you stuck your head in there.

I remember when we were mandatory evacuated, for flooding, in 2013.
It was sureal. I had to put my palm on the basement floor to convince myself that the floor was dry.

Strange moments- when the brain. RE -demands confirmation from the eyes.

I wish i felt confident leaving them for long periods of time. No greater feeling than sneaking a peak after a week or 10 days when in the first stages of flower. During ripening would be fun also. Maybe i can squeeze in another week long vacation during that period. Haha.

😦 holy shitballs dude 😦
Purple reflection off the trichomes.
Them COBs mang! Niiccce.
That’s the Indigo Lily bud in the pics under a microscope. I’m not sure if they are reflections or proper purple trics but i wouldn’t be shocked if they were because it’s parent Blueberry #3 has shown me some purple trics before. Need a better microscope. Either case it looks cool and cobs rule. Haha.

Stunning.
I didn't realize it was that far along.
When may it come down ?
Thanks. Well this is the 30th day from the flip. By my prior experiences, NL needs about a month and Dinachem could go for 5 more weeks. Blue Kush can be ready in somewhere between 3-5 weeks. I have never grown it to full maturity before. Always had to pull early due to some shit -not related to the plant tho-. Indigo Lily will be harvested in a week probably. A fast finisher for sure but still good yields.

Remaining seeded branches of the Indigo Lily. Very good, very fruity smell and a very clean vapor even without any cure. I love growing organic. High is clear and bit sedative later on. Great for a day at the beach i’m sure. You can open a couple of beers afterwards and get a comfy nap after 2 hours. Well good daytime stuff and a fast finisher. Good trait for future chucking projects. And also it is very horizontal now due to the weight of the buds which is never a bad thing.

And the tent is getting there. Slowly but surely. Looking fatter everyday. Dinachem will probably yield less than the prior runs but it’s understandable as it was revegging when i flipped it. Well no big deal. It’s still gonna be a sexy plant with lots of buds all over it. In fact i’ll probably do some Dinachem grow from seed just as soon as i finish this one. I want to see how similar the offspring is. I had some going for a trial run but when i was away the timer shits the bed and now i got some revegging gals. I’m trying to save them now but i’m not very hopeful. Still tho i got a shit ton of seeds around so no big deal but i really do need an arduino or something.

Even this fluff zone bud was solid when i gave it a squeeze today. That NL can break a record for me but don’t take my word for ‘cause i don’t remember how big any of my plants got before this grow. Hahha. Very fucked up memory.

Oh and fed with a bit of seaweed extract, humic/fulvic, fish hydrolysate and molasses. That’s my first ‘feeding’ since the tea i gave them 2 weeks ago. No feeding from now on. Probably.

We are getting closer and closer.

As you can kinda see in the family photo, the Blue Kush is not doing so well. I mean the buds are looking fine but generally seems unhappy. My theory is that the leaves are dying from deficiency. Happens to the oldest leaves closer to the lights. Lower growth seems ok and i’m gonna clean those brown ones to let the lowers finish the plant.

I also took some samplers from each. From the fluff zone. Dinachem seems solid. It may not be as big as my prior grows, which is understandable as i think it’s infected by TMW or something and it hasn’t started in pristine conditions. Still i think with these solid nugs, it has a chance to catch up on the scale.

And NL was like a little spongey but it has so many nugs that it’s understandable. It has 2 more weeks to go to properly fatten up.

But the lower bud sample of the Blue Kush was the fluffiest amongst the 3. So that again makes me think, deficiency.

This grow i tried that 1/3 super soil and fill the rest with mild mix stuff and no. It’s not for me at all. I’m going to do straight super soil next time and next time Dinachem S1s.

Indeed.
I am not certain what I am looking at there. I am no stranger to troubles - but they usually start at the bottom, and work their way up.
You are thinking the soil just ran out of ooomph ?

How does a tent roll merrily along and then throw an odd duck like that ?

Is it Resting Bitch Face ?
You tried the backhand, eh?👋
They have been on the edge for a while. Not deficient per se but yellowing leaves here and there. It seems Blue Kush just needs some extra omph maybe? I can’t really think of anything else.

My tents rarely roll merrily thru a grow. There is always an odd duck mainly because i insist on not feeding anything extra so little bit of yellow i’m ok with but this is something quite extreme.

Next run i have to dial that in. I know it grows well in rich soil so 100% super soil will fix this think. And for now the lowers will take it to the finish line and i’m giving molasses for that K to induce proper ripening. But overall very strange.

I harvested the rest of the Indigo Lily. To be honest i think this is close to perfect for harvesting. So first batch was harvested a little prematurely but still it’s at most a 50 day strain. Pretty fast, looks and smells amazing. Very dense nugs too.

Terrible news. I just returned from vacation and what did i find? You guessed it, bud rot! Harvested all asap. Wet trimmed and manicured for a fast dry. I threw away a considerable amount of buds. All the main colas of the Blue Kush were moldy, about 60% or more of the final weight. And on the others lost about 20% of the final yield.

Buds were so dense, i’m still hopeful about the final yield but regardless of that fact, it’s still pretty devastating. I think a long blackout occured when i was away (because i found my air purifier was turned off when i returned) and that caused a rise in humidity for a while which is one of the worst possibilities that could have occured this late in flowering and with such dense nugs. It’s absolutely horrible.

I’m gonna finish trimming tonight and post some pics of the final yield. Still very heavy and solid nugs from the NL and the Dinachem but very measly yields from the Blue Kush. Well you’ll see. I won’t be taking any vacations in the final weeks anymore. Hahaha.

Feels like i’ll still get some heavy yields from the Dinachem and the NL. They have some solid, sticky nugs. I’m satisfied for now. Let’s hope everything goes well during drying. Lower parts of the Blue Kush is also still going under strict watch. Here is the tent after compulsory harvest.
