Yea that is why i was asking. I was not sure how that applied to soil. Not for me! I've never had or try to have a 20% run off in soil/fabric pots. Pro mix...I want to see some runoff, but in FFOF not.

Are you running organic @BigBallzWillie ?Not for me! I've never had or try to have a 20% run off in soil/fabric pots. Pro mix...I want to see some runoff, but in FFOF not,
I would love to say yes but I use FFOF nutes and that shit isn't organic. I did try and add some worms and shit to the FFOF soil that had been hit with the FF nutes. Freakin worms were surfacing big time to get out of that shit, lol. Some died outside the bag, wern't pretty. Are you running organic @BigBallzWillie ?
I thought that you had to have that fun off for the salt based neuts. Just curious as i am not a soil grower. I guess if you tread lightly it would not be a issue.I would love to say yes but I use FFOF nutes and that shit isn't organic. I'll be sure to shake it loose. I don't want them going in to the next pot being pot shaped anyway. I feel the roots would prefer to have a head start on expanding.I wouldn't go that far, but the hydro growers would probably say it's fine. I would "handle" the root ball, see how it feels under the "wrap" of roots you probably have around the outside . Anything that is loose should fall off. I wouldn't mess with anything beyond that. I just meant that I would not try and gently transfer the whole pot-shaped root-dirt-thing without damaging it. Get your fingers in there and "fluff" it to make sure it's not a big clay pellet.
That reminds me of a time i went to catch some minnows for flounder fishing. I pulled my trap and it was full of big minnows. Grabbed a bucket out of the back of the truck and put them in there. It was only about a 5 min ride back to the house. Ever last one of them had jumped out of the bucket into the back of the truck. One sniff of the water confirmed that there was quite a bit of bleach in the bucket. Them poor minnow said F**k this and dove for dry land.LOLI would love to say yes but I use FFOF nutes and that shit isn't organic. That's the ticket...go easy. I rarely even use the two bottles of the trio for veg but do use the tiger bloom for flower. I change out my dirt every year for new. The old dirt gets composted, used up in the landscape, or recycle into outdoor grow.I thought that you had to have that fun off for the salt based neuts. Just curious as i am not a soil grower. They do have some organic products. I think the Big Bloom (the one it calls for all grow) is organic. The other two aren't. They also have a line of top-dressings I am using that is all OMRI listed organic as well. Most of their stuff definitely isn't, but since using these I haven't seen the salt build-up I used to.I would love to say yes but I use FFOF nutes and that shit isn't organic. The big bloom is organic. It is only 0-0.5-0 though. I'm on tiger bloom now. 25% strength to instructions. Feeding every other water right now. They do have some organic products. I'm on tiger bloom now. I haven't used the grow big but I do have it. With the FFOF I'm going to be going very easy with the nutes until I get comfortable with it.That's the ticket...go easy. I meant to say something to you about that pot i was telling you about being dry. I can't think of a less stressful transplant than when it has receded from the side of the pot like that. Just turn it upside down and it will fall in your hand and you lower it into the new pot. Some do it after a watering but i like doing it the dry way that way reach over and tear the bottom of the root up and that really stimulates them with a good irrigation after transplant.I'll be sure to shake it loose. Basically what I was saying. Slightly damaged roots promote root growth. The top "corner" all the way around will sluff off, and if the "root-wrap" on the bottom is gently fondled "corners" will fall out there too. There's literally a ball. I don't like to break off the long ones, or even uncoil them much, but I loosen the bottom to fluff the roots up.I meant to say something to you about that pot i was telling you about being dry. I'm not even sure what the brand of soil was man. I snagged the first bag that wasn't miracle gro and didn't say it was pre-fertilized. I'd like to get rid of it but i don't want to damage the root ball. The original soil was natures magic but the re-pot was the unknown. I'm going to try and order some perlite.Anything in the first soil can be fixed with the rinse n proper feed behind it. Its basically a reset of the soil
My opinion is flush them. Feed clean ph water til they ask for food. Just my opinion.
My case is slightly different. I run soil mixed with coco and perelite. I mix whatever i got basically but i read the plants to adjust it. I dont measure nothing but ph.
But plants be singing. My way may not be best for all. Cause i just go by flow. N im used to the reactions.

That is actually how I typically transplant any plant i own. I water after transplant since it tends to promote a less stressful transplant and gives the plant some energy to expand. Not sure how scientific it is but it just seemed logical. So a watering this morning after lights on (I did change that up) means they will be dry for transplant Tuesday night.Basically what I was saying. Slightly damaged roots promote root growth. Your plants are big enough now that the FFOF shouldn't be too big of an issue as far as burning them, the main thing is that you'll be adding nute-rich soil. So don't feed. You will still want to treat your water with calmag if you choose, and pH it.I'm not even sure what the brand of soil was man. I've read a lot on here about it not being good for pot. I'm just concerned about the seeds I'm about to pot being burned by the FFOF soil. So i ordered rapid rooters but the person sending me seeds to try hates them so I'm going to pop those in a paper towel. So I've gotta make a mix for the ocean forest to be a bit less potent on the babies. So I have to get some perlite and an inert soil to mix with the ocean forest to tone it down a bit.Miracle grow.....
No problems with it in limited capacity.
I will put it in a solo cup up to 1 gall pot. That will get up-potted into some like FFOF or super soil. It has perlite but it needs more.
I won't grow anything to completion with it.
I will recycle it. It gets used up pretty quick nutrient wise, mostly peat left.
