Buy some cal-mag, I feed 5ml a gallon and I feed it every time I water plants. You can’t hardly feed enough of it in dirt.

This is from this morning. I can definitely see new little cola sprouts on my larger plant. No signs of sex yet through my loop. Once it looks like anything, I'll snag a pic and ask here. I am on day 3 of the 12-12 now to test sex.Got my tracking info on my seeds last night so they should be here next week.
I need to go to the store but Black Friday in my area is tantamount to entering a boxing ring so I'm waiting until tomorrow. Then I will grab some Cal mag.

So I would like an opinion other than my own but I think it is a girl! I see little white wispy bits i think are pistils. I'm super excited so if I am wrong please tell me so I'm not crazy disappointed. I kicked them into flower since my other are about to arrive so I'll be lucky to harvest a dub but I don't even care.

Not only is it a girl it's a bleeder! I have only seen that a few times the red sap. Very cool. The supply list of things you need will not go away anytime soon just nature of the hobby. I hope between all of us we can get that girl to produce some goodness for you.

So do I my friend! So what is a bleeder? Is that some kind of genetic thing?
I have my other plant that still isn't showing any sign of its sex yet so still one to to there. I'd be surprised if it is a female. Poor thing came out the seed fucked up. It is yet to have a 5 blade leaf yet.
So now that my girl (glad I can say that) has shown her sex it will be 3 weeks at least for any bud site to form correct?

They should start to form in about 2 weeks. Every now and then you get one that has that red substance in it ( and i do not know what the name for that is other than sap)that you can see when you cut it. Keep a sharp eye on those nodes where the sex is showing to make sure you do not see any balls or nanners showing. Should really do a close inspection once a week.thru the first 5 to 6 weeks of flower to make sure if she herms on you catch it in time. Once you run a strain a few times you can start to trust it a little more. Very hard to tell on the sex until around 2 weeks of flower most of the time. We can help just keep posting pictures. Out of the last couple dozen strains i have grown i have only seen that red sap on one other plant. Maybe someone else could chime in on the red sap!

I'm fighting my instincts to love them to death now so I do believe if she starts to exhibit hermie traits I will catch it soon. I read a crazy long article on it with different ways it can hermie. Aside from picking the nanners gently off there isn't much I can do if it herms is there?
And I would love to learn more about that red sap. My other plant didn't do it but I would wager they are different strains but as they are bagseed I have no idea what they are.

The funny thing is this plant will practically grow itself if we don't stick are thumbs in the way to much. We can do more harm than just about anything. Remember the old cartoon with George I will hold them squeeze them hug them. lol

From what I know growing other plants besides weed, I see a plant with excess moisture. Instead of drying out when you prune it, it was taking the opportunity to release some extra juice.
Hermies... You shouldn't worry about that. You have few plants. You will obviously notice drastic changes. You have females, now we can make flowers. If one herms, shit-can it. You have seeds coming, this is practice still - but I think you'll smoke it

Herming that is not generically set will usually be from drastic environment changes. You have a tent now, so work on the environment. Temps with lights on should be about 78F, and the humidity needed will vary, from more during seedling and veg stage, to as low as you can get it during flower.

Oh I'm fighting the urge. But when it is time for the lights to kick on I'm checking temps, looking the plants over, checking with a loop every other day. Finally found what I was looking for.
The other thing I need is a pH kit. I found one on Amazon but it is for hydroponics. Will that also work for soil?

I will. My people sometimes go cross country to Colorado and get those medical packs so they tend to be picky about strains. I just never think to ask them what I'm smoking. Maybe the buds will look familiar. Though they all look the same as ash. Lmao.

So as we speak my husband is sanitizing another fan for the tent. My ventilation doesn't seem to be strong enough as it is around 83 degrees at the top of the plants. We are trying something different to bring the temps down. Lights run from 2am to 2pm.
And as long as i don't stress her, she should not stress me in turn. So she won't become a dude. I guess i need to have the talk with her now that she is old enough. Lmao.
Same question to you i posed to Capt C. I need a pH system. Everything I'm finding seems to be for hydro. Anything that is soil specific?

So i checked it out. The only similarity this plant doesn't have with what was listed is red in the leaves. Maybe that will be a late trait. But it has red all the way up the stem and into the leaf stems themselves. Good find and read! Thanks. I'm twisting them a bit for my own purposes but in the immortal words of Matthew McConaughey: it'd be really cool if it was.

You mean a ph meter they all check liquid readings. You can use that when mixing up your nutrient solution or checking your runoff from the plant. You will also need a ppm meter to make sure you know what you are feeding them. If you can afford it think bluelab

There is a way to test the ph of the soil itself. I am not familiar with it.
