I'd donate, but it may not be VIP level, but it would be what I could afford, usually first of the month, lol. I believe in the place. I go back and forth, and again, met many gratious and compassionate folks there, funny thing is most of em, come here. lol. I'd just as soon stay here. Ive gotten old and impatient and there is just too many stupid questions in some of those threads over there, seems to be mainly good growing info here covering all subjects. Not the best example, but why some like small county churches and some like the megachurches. Me, Im a simple man. And I like the digs here.

I don't feel like making a thread. Can anybody tell me if they know whether or not this truly works at dissuading raccoons from messing with the plants?

In areas with heavy deer, raccoon, opossum, squirrel, rabbit etc. I’ve used coyote urine granules with good success. If you’re having issues with them in your soil in planters you can put bunched up plastic bags across the top (it somewhat is effective) as they don’t like the noise/feeling.

Thanks. Yeah, I had some autos dug up by a raccoon and I ended up getting even by shooting it. I saw a new one tonight trying to steal cat food. I'm wondering if my secret garden got raided. I'm down to three.... I really hate raccoons ☠☠☠

.........seriously??.....well

I don't know if that stuff works. I've always try to first get their attention on something else. They decide to raid the tomatoes one night, I know, now, anything red is dead...so ..I throw dry cat food into the grass near the garden. They go wild trying to grab every piece, fighting among themselves, scrounging little pieces out of the grass blades, and they forget about the tomatoes and eventually move on to something else. They are individuals, and if you get one that persists in causing trouble, you have to cull it, imo. To do that, grab a have a heart trap, put a marshmallow in it, go get your gun. Do this until the poor behavior stops. ;)

couple redbones roaming free on property better cure, no Coons will come within a mile when they hear those hounds go off .
Them hounds a pretty noisy. I was fortunately able to go on a couple of coon hunts at night with my Dad when i was a kid . His friend had the hounds but i do not recall what kind they were probably those Redbones. You can tell by the pitch of there bark when they have one up a tree.
