I pulled the little Bubba Kush cross out so this is the tall girls, which all happen to be the Notsodog Headband crosses.
IMG_7244.JPG
After chopping the first Croq and opening space I pulled the Bubba and the two Pink Champs in the 4x4. Bubba is the only thing on a shelf. Yes, a few need water more than others. I see it - I'm watering after this, stop bugging me! Those jurassic shade leaves on the Freeborn stuff really tell you the plant status.
IMG_7247.JPG
Like in here - the oddball Grape Lime is in the center, the leaves are almost leathery. This is all 5 sisters.
IMG_7255.JPG
After my first experience growing those dumpy little Deep Chunk plants from The Rev I was wondering why the fuck Tom Hill bragged on it so much other than the smoke being good, I think I may find out. Crazy sideways leaf thing on a few so I dialed the light back to 80w. That means this would be the perfect 1st grow plant before you drop cash on big light and such. I could see pulling this off with some CFL's in a closet easy.
IMG_7243.JPG
And I am just waiting on these to show. . The super tall one middle-left and the runt next to it are the Last Call from Blackbird, White Widow x the Cocacola Rootbeer from Freeborn, and his Pineapple Sass(afrass) is the Pineapple Thai hit with the same Rootbeer. The other 7 are the Macchiato x Jaro testers. I hope to get enough girls from here to fill a tent.

Cleaning out the pantry and I have dehydrated mushrooms collected in my little forest behind the house. I have that lions mane still hanging on the log outside drying out, and these were put on the dehydrator fresh whenever I got some. I have decided that I am not hungry enough to eat wild mushrooms without someone that I trust that knows shrooms telling me "yup, that's it". If I was poor or the supply chain crashed I might be more adventurous.

The main product was the chantarelles, lots of yellow ones and a small quantity of the little "cinna-bar" red ones. These are a summer shroom, and after I knew what I had they were already hitting the end of the season. I am 95% positive these are the real deal, because this type of shroom had no similar or easily mistaken poisonous cousins. It's a shitty pic. be warned.
IMG_7258.JPG
the other was a "Cauliflower" mushroom, these were softball diameter puffballs that looked like anemone or something that belonged under the sea. There was a group of three at the base of a knarly old sourwood tree. Two were already looking brown on the edges but this one was pure white and shiny. This one was also pretty easy to catalog but they said it had a unique seafood taste like squid or something. Fuck that LOL
IMG_7257.JPG

So my plan is to just powder them and add them to my worm-food/top-dress concoction Maybe add them to a castings tea/extract or something. I'll snag the nasty looking lions mane to add to the mix since I know it's not going to food. But in an emergency I'll have foraging options.

Major rearrangement coming soon. Full moon is tomorrow and I have 5 or 6 plants all grouped up to get the axe. My humidity is back down now that the temps are cooling so more plants drying is better. None of these go and they seem happy where they're at.
IMG_7288.JPG
In here the Notso ChemD is the young one - the Notso TK is the faded one and the Notso Chemdog is the chunky bitch up front I pulled the crispy leaves off of. Both of those go.
IMG_7286.JPG
In here there are three or four. Definitely the Chemdog mystery plant (the chunky one back left) and I think we can see what Chemdog adds to crosses. The front right on the shelf is the Bubba Kush mystery plant. Both it and the Chemdog are 10 weeks tomorrow. The front left is the SSHP x Baguettes which hit 11 weeks today. They all go. The back right is the Headline which is the Texas Shoreline x Headband from Skunktek. That one is also 10 weeks and I need to scope it better to decide. It may be an "off cycle" harvest regarding the moon. I think it needs that 11th week. Still drinking like a fish.

To prolong the dry I soaked everything tonight. Tomorrow afternoon sometime towards their "morning" I'll yank the known chops while the tents are still dark. Pluck the fans, hang'em then weigh them wet so I know what they should dry to. Takes about 10min per plant.

I leave the sugar leaves unless they are the mostly shiny-leaf ones that will droop while drying. Those leaves stay green and moist too long during the dry and can make isues. instead of plucking them I snip them and leave an inch or so of stem attached. That prevents raw spots on the stem that will dry quicker. Those little stems drying is a real good indicator of plant dryness. Especially if they are the thick fan-leaf stems.

Not a bad haul.
The two Notso crosses were both over 200g wet, the most amazing smell of the morning came from the Notsodog Headband x TK. Cinnamon, cloves, anise, crazy spice rack stuff in there. and super sticky/oily. They're on top of a chest freezer.
IMG_7295.JPG
Left to right is the Bubba mystery plant, the Chemdog mystery plant, and SSHP x Baguettes. The SSHP is not structurally sound after I removed the bondage 🤪. Those lower two sets of limbs are unable to support the flowers.
IMG_7290.JPG
The Chemdog mystery plant is the most stiking of the bunch visually. Looks and smells Chemdog, but it's beefier si I think it might be a "Big Bad Wolf" which is his Chem D x Chemdog. There's nothing not chem in there but it has girth neither mom is known for. This one and the Notso cross are very similar, but the one with Headband is leafier in the buds than this. This one had mainly the larger fans (though crispy) so it cleaned up nicer after getting rid of those. The lighter green areas were shaded by leaves.

Great job vato, grandma's cupboard is going to be full.
Acktchewalllly... ;)

I still have room. I don't know if it is my soil, or the beans I have chosen to drop, or what, but I get a lot of beanpoles lately. Like that Chemdoggie cross plant. fat and heavy but it's all on the trunk and a few short limbs at the bottom. And those bottom limbs all droop in so I have room for 8 plants that are skinny.

The TK was a huge shrub and the bubba cross is a short shrub, but you can see how those worthless little limbs on the Croquembouche to the left (hung last week) they droop and take no space. Good thing I don't smoke limbs because those heave ass flowers are legit. I expect the same from the SSHP.

Since there's lots of new peeps occasionally here's what I have. "Grannys cedar wardrobe" from a yardsale. I added a PVC hanging rack, that I want to change but havent because it still works. I have a cheap-ass little dehuey I rarely use except mid-summer. I have a little AC Infinity muffin fan on the floor moving air, and the wall-plate AC Infinity 3-speed up top as an exhaust. Low speed is about 20CFM. no noise and just enough movement to maintain a negative pressure. On the outside I have a piece of tin wall-duct capped off as a plenum for that fan, and a 4" hose-hole cut into that for a carbon filter that sets on top. If I have the exhaust off you can smell what is drying, since its nowhere near air tight, but that low setting is enough to make it work.

I have the closet empty now, and will clean that out, then move the just-flipped into there. and drop the light about 4 feet LOL

Cool hack I figured out since I am always shutting down and restarting spaces - leave the timer plugged in and keeping time. If you need the space back you just plug and play without having to worry about it.

It's all the soil. I now have 5 harvested pots I need to get ready for the Heisen testers. I have the Croq that had been resting and some culls, but I am getting soil volume back now. I have been limited by that more than space as far as drops.

I watered them good last night so I just cover them and make sure the cat can't shit in them. The roots from the plant and the cover crops will be decomposing, and I add some bokashi to get it going faster. After a week or so I'll shake off the plant roots then dump them in the cement mixer spin it a little to bust up the clover clumps and let it set. a 16" pot saucer fits the hole perfect to keep it moist and the worms love it.

I'll wait to reammend it until after I sift out any roots that didn't rot.

The 60w grow - DAMN! The only thing I didn't consider is smell. The veg area is not vented out of the room. Better to keep the heat and moisture reirculating in the room for what it's worth with the heat and ac going. If I have t move them they'll get the closet and I'l either hanf this light in there or dial the other one way back. For now they are mild, and smell of peanut butter. sixty-fucking-watts!!!
IMG_7301.JPG
I got that NYC Piff out of there. It needed more light and I didn't ping on it at first. I also pulled the Notso ChemD in here
IMG_7299.JPG
so the closet has the ones waiting on sex. A few are showing the beginnings of preflowers.
IMG_7298.JPG
I have the mini seed starter tent and the grow-daddy veg tent (my only veg spectrum light) empty now. I also have the 5 in the Grape Lime cross tent but those haven't changed since yesterday LOL

The Deep Chunk have a very sharp contrast between the deep green of the leaves and the yellow in the veins. And they are getting nice flower sites top to bottom that are looking to get plump. Lots of thick hairs.

The first Croquembouche. I got 3/4 of an ounce from the little plant, but that's all goods. She weighed 30g as a whole plant, 22 without stems and leaves.
IMG_7351.JPG
There's about a guarterbag of marbles, and two of tops and trunk-nugs. I don't smoke the finget hash but this produced a good big for a quick cleanup. I save all of it until there's enough then press it all for rosin. The upper pile of leaveswere the sugar-fans I snipped before hanging. The lower pile is what I pulled off today.
IMG_7355.JPG
I'll let the trim dry out a few days then sift it, and I'll smoke the shit out of that, usually with the first test of the flower. For "triming" I snip leaf stems I can see, but then I just glove-up and pluck. Those dull green's like on that lower set of nugs are all I pull off. Basically anything I won't smoke as is.

Thanks! Nothing hard about it once I got my brain wrapped around the issues. I drop seeds every month and flip the previous months drop about the same time. It's just about adjusting the number of seeds you drop per month. I have extra room so I can do regs easier, if I get more than half girls I can make it work. Less than half and I can spread them out a bit more and prune less.

The basic math was figuring out how many flower spots I have, which is 18 that I count on with 9 in each tent. I don't count the closet, that's kind of my safety factor for too many, but usually gets the tall plants because it's got 7' of space under the lights. I rarely run 9 per tent but it happens and they can fit.

Divide that by three. I shoot for 6 girls per drop for 1/3 of those 18 spots. It's a 4 month cycle allowing for 12-week flowering plants with no issues. But the first month is veg. that's why I divide them by three. I have three stages of flower at any given time.

Lately I have been bored and doing some fuckery, like dropping every 2 weeks because of lots of males and/or duds. then I get 5 out of 7 girls and it gets crowded the other way. I have smoke galore so I am letting this play out until the contest beans drop. I should be able to drop lots. After that bunch moves on thropugh the stages I'll get back in the rhythm.

cool moves last round took 41/2 months in 1 tent with maybe 350 watts of light.
