I smoked cigarettes for decades. I can't really taste it.
I have that same nug smasher. I do 4 gram smashes in the Dabpress brand 120 micron bags @ 200 degrees for 2 min no matter what strain and adjust from there. The flower has to be cured properly. I still make bubble hash with all my seeded plant waste, I just think it gives you a better end product, better flavor from bubble hash
stuff likE this i need to know, thanks@J.James,@H.A.F.

You should get a quarts nectar collector, Cheep and very effective, a lot less of a mess to clean up
I use this one
You mean like this? 😂

Great minds think alike ;)

That little banger with the replacement glass cup inserts is pretty dope too. If you screw one up they're replaceable without fucking up the expensive piece :)

I got the Dabpress small cylinder puck press. It's in that pic beside the press. It works fine and all that, but it came with two sturdy plastic sheets about the size of a credit card. It is sturdy but can be rolled into a small tube, then slid into those mini bags to get those pucks in. You could make it out of damn near anything but the idea was pretty sweet.

I forgot to mention that after I strained out that compost extract I mixed it to total about 4 gallons of water. A few inches below the bucket rim for carpet safety ;) Speaking of soil... Here's's the ratio of my year old soil that needed sifted and re-assembled. 2 totes full of castings, 1.5 of the rice hulls and larger stuff inder 1/4", an 0ne tote of the smaller than 1/2" rocks and sticks and such. This'll be the second full tote of "pot castings" I am setting aside to age. I'll use one tote of the castings, one of the rocks, and both totes of rice-hulls/aeration. I am going to top off that half-tote with fresh peat. It all had Craft Blend added before I sifted it so when I mix it back it should be ready to go.

So, is organics sometimes more work? Yes, yes it is :ROFLMAO:

Needed to grind me up some smoke so I got the press warmed up too. The Banana Hashplant I grew last was not great smoke - too resinous and it burned out a lot. So I decided to press what was left. Had a half ounce and got 2.25g. The other multi-bag press was the Momma Moonshine just because I have a lot. That was two 4g bags. The SkunkXXX and the Bad Attitude were each a 4g bag. The SkunkXXX only pressed out .25g, and it was vety brittle and bubbly looking. The Bad Attitude did 3 times that! The Skunk was the oldest by many months though, and has more of a sandy gritty resin gland, the BA is greasy and has GMO in it.

In case my description sucked, this is the plastic sheet funnel/tube thingy

The Step Child are all compost. The Stones should be showing in a few days.
IMG_3049.JPG
Back row is the known headstash, ChemD and CLHP both in 7g pots. Lemon Cello in the middle, then the 4 Irie's

These are all closer to done as well as being taller.

If anyone is wondering I did press a CLHP nug. The return was not great but I didn't play around to find the right temp if that wasn't it. What I did get from it was fire. All the flavor came through, and the initial buzz sat me on my ass.

The other thing that pushed me over the edge on buying the nug smasher was that I am going to have probably 2 tents worth of seeded weed to do something with after I shuck it. I can dry-sift it and press that, or just use up all my bags and press the flower mash mess.
I have been doing some recon on them considered just buying heated plates to use with my big press in the shop but it's typically covered in bearing grease etc. plus WAY out in the cold shop lol but since rec legalization here my stash is getting to large since some friends are buying the cheap dispensary weed I been dry sifting and using ice, bags and 5-gal buckets but there has to be an easier way...

So my new "drop the whole pack" journey starts now I guess. I had 6 The Stones and got 4 plants. only 4 days from flip but they needed water so I pulled out the loupe. 4 girls. I now have a closet full of a long-flowering haze-type and a pollination coming that I wasn't planning on them being part of LOL

I have clones of all 4 and three are getting potted when the moms do. So no loss, but they might be the experiment I was looking for to try and keep a few plants un-seeded during the process.

I went nocturnal again. I think the day-o-dabs got to me right after dinner. Got the plants all watered and hit the sack. I got at least 6 hours of sleep, and got up at 2am 😜. One thing about being happy while retired is not being bored. No sense trying to sleep whe you ain't tired because "it's time". I got soil mized uo and plants potted.
The 4 The Stones got finished potting and cover-cropping right at lights out and then I had to water them all in. Tonight they get rice hulls and I make sure they got enough water.
IMG_3055.JPG
Once the soil is mixed doing these takes no time or space. The little clam-shell inner cup means you can open each side separately to make sure nothing is stuck, then get the plug out. I use an empty cup to get the pot ready, dust with some VAM Endo mix and drop it like it's hot.
IMG_3056.JPG
The Stones #1 is still not showing roots, but everything is green and vertical still. With them all 4 being girls it likely won't matter. The Chem91 top is also looking stellar but not far enough along to be showing roots yet. The mom is in the clone tent with about 8 limbs just waiting to see if this takes. I may take a few more to pollinate when I drop the seeds. Just root them at 12/12.

Also means the proof of concept worked on the cloning with at least 75% success. 50/50 coco and castings kept the right moisture level but also has some nutrients in there for when the roots emerge and want something.

The clone was prepped however you usuallly do it but sticking it in this mix instead of a cube. I did have to really pack the stuff in around thestem to prop it up at first, so maybe I'll add some peat too.

From the bottom. In here, anything that doesn't do well is diversity for my indoor worm bin/compost. The vine of mexican gherkin cucumber-ish things can't hang. Beautiful growth, flowers and baby fruit continuously, but none have matured. They get the size of a grain or rice or so then drop off. Compost, next time I can get to them. I think this'll be herbs and peppers when I get the chuck done. The Brussel Sprout is probably a goner too.

The Milk & Sugar dwarf got moved to the mini tent to be closer to the light and warmer. The Chem91 is just vegging, waiting on a clone to take. CLHP 🤷‍♂️ I'll probably always have one going. It was just topped to slow it down, no clones. The Purple Heart is the (now) 8-top in the big pot. I lopped off the 4 tops tonight, and after it gets a few days I'll be taking the outer sprout from each limb. It's the 1:1 that is just gonna catch pollen and get flipped with the rest. All I need is a few flowers and I don't want it huge.
IMG_3077.JPG
Fragrant Agastasche - in the mint family. I don't know if I like the smell or not. It reminds me of that berry autoflower smell.
When I get the cuke thing gone I plan to rig cup-holders everywhere for a little stadium thing.
IMG_3081.JPG
The mini tent and the Stones Clones. I have one more in the dome but all the moms are looking the same. I'll probably let one catch pollen just because, I'll have one to flower right after the pollen is cleaned up, and one to hang on to just in case. But I checked and I can still buy the same beans if I want more so this is not mom material. The Chem91 top is very expressive. It'll be drooping like it's dead, then perked up and raging. The mom is also flipping after the chuck clone or not. I'll take a few more before I flip, and if there's plenty maybe a few after it's in flower if needed just to get some roots on one.
IMG_3073.JPG
The moms got rice hulls and stakes. I expect stretch but I didn't start training anything. It'll just be to corral them into the diameter of the pot with all the center leaves gone. They all have tiny bok choy and clover. I don't like the bare pots below from some of the food crops that didn't do well so everything now gets clover and _____.
IMG_3083.JPG
The Lemon Cello (center) is a leafy monster of a shrub. Having a dozen fem seeds of it is the main reason I'm dropping one for the chuck. It's a Skunk1 pheno and I want to compare that, the UK Cheese and the Cali-O which are all basically Skunk1. The cover crop and the corn salad that came in the puzzle box with the beans is also growing wild.
IMG_3070.JPG
The smellies. Everything lost a few leaves if they were shading. I think the fan leaves are more important in veg, growing the limbs beside them. Once those limbs get their own leaves they are less important IMHO. If it was shading tonight was the "done tucking" night.
IMG_3065.JPG
How do you determine of you have two pheno's from the same pack?
IMG_3064.JPG IMG_3063.JPG
They kind of grow different I think LOL

I got the 4th Stones clone up-potted, bt the Chem91 and ChemD clones were duds. The 4 I really didn't care about were perfect... Also there's these. I will be culling a few more experiments now that I know what the seeds do. I have little tomatoes almost ripe LOL. The hot pepper plant is looking like it's flowering too.

As I was potting it I realized that with all the plants I have in flower I have very little soil leftover. I need to make sure I have enough to up-pot seedlings before I drop the chuck beans. I also whittled them down to 28 beans total. Im easing back on the number of crosses just to make it all fit in the big propagator to start. It holds 28 cups, 10 Thunderhole and then whatever else.

Another thing on the chuck. I think letting the plants go a week 18/6 before flipping will also give me time to drop replacements for any duds and re-think the flip date if needed. I'm just dropping two of each reg strain though so if I get two dudes that's just karma - but I want at least a 50/50 shot.

I was never much into country music, but going through some old CD's and found stuff that gets no radio play. Ever heard of Little Feat?

This is a live show marked at the begining of Texas Twister but the whole thing is good. Jeff Healy plays with them on one of the earlier songs.

They were at the beginning of that country/rock divergence, but they also did stuff with full-on country legends.

Anyway, that's how old I am - the CD's replaced either albums or cassetes LOL

I just meant that these guys were popular, successful, always touring, and you rarely heard them on the radio - ever. They were an LA country-rock band. They had a hippie/folk music audience locally instead of rednecks. I caught them on tour and then bought albums when I could find them. Never would have heard of them otherwise I don't think.
