Grow Yer Own Stone with Old Stoner

The Laziest
I give up growing during the summer. Iā€™m just happier that way.
I get that. When I grew with HPS I always stopped growing from July- Nov. It was too big of a headache managing things with the weather here ranging from 78-109F and 40-100% RH. And it can do that in one day... With LED now I'm finding I can grow in the summer but I have to keep the plants spaced out good and a strong dehumidifier going. Even this year I stopped in Sept-Nov. I popped seed on Nov 5th for my first winter grow.

I am to the point now that I run a space heater, humidifier, dehumidifier, and air exchange fan. I'm ready to experiment and see if a 2x4 or 3x5 Mushroom tent could provide enough C02 to seal a room up and control the environment 100% and not deal with these environmental swings.

Day 50 of 12:12.

County Line Genetics Vietnamese Silver Leaf is coming along nicely. Only another 5 weeks or so! These are some of the lowers.

Esoā€™s Twinkle Tarts. This one has a baby poop smell going on. Maybe baby poop isnā€™t the right thing, but something kinda of gross in a good way.

And Sangria Cookies, also from County Line Genetics. This one smells great. It is changing a bit, but has a lot of grape in it. Rock hard nugs on this one.

Today after work I collected some pollen off the male Cherry Wine and hit nine or ten lower ā€œlarfyā€ branches on the Female Cherry Wine.

Before pollinating, I removed the female from the tent, and moved it to another floor under itā€™s own light. In fact, it took the place of the male that I collected pollen off of, and heā€™s now in the green bin.

My plan is to leave the pollinated female out of the tent for two days, then Iā€™ll mist it with some water and put it back into the tent. Hopefully thatā€™s enough to prevent any of the other plants from getting pollinated by stray pollen.

Did it work? Stay tuned for six weeks to find out.

The results are in!

I got 139 nice looking Cherry Wine F3ā€™s seeds and 5 that look like duds.

I guess Iā€™m set for Cherry Wine seeds.

Also in the newsā€¦ā€¦

All the Fems and Comp plants got up-potted to 1 gallons today.

All the regs got ā€œunder-pottedā€, that is the top of the soils was about an inch below the top of the pot, so I took the plant out, added about an inch of soil to the bottom of the pot, then put the plant back in, followed by a feed. After a few days, Iā€™ll move them to the flower tent for sexing, then up-pot the girls and cull the males.

Also, since theyā€™re more spread out now, I fired up the other corn light and adjusted the PPFD.

I need another fan in here. I tried fixing one I had but it was seized. So Iā€™ll either buy a new one or steal one from the flower tent, until those new AC Infinities are available.

I find a couple drops of engine or trans oil on the fan bushings will usually get them humming again. Usually needed yearly.
Nice growing oldstoner.
I agree I take my fans apart every couple grows add a little 3 in 1 oil they do last a lot longer the best penetrating oil I found for breaking things loose is a little trains fluid and diesel there is a side by side by side study simple & cheap...
