Can an auto flower under 12/12?

Sry to butt in but I think they are saying :

-that it's an auto flower
-it can be cloned
-will flower on any light cycle for the most part
-clone will flower the same time the mother flowers
-not worth it to clone, yield suffers on mother

Hope this helps.
Right but I mean putting it under a 12/12 light ForceS it to flower right then. Not when the mother pops. Because the clone popped under 12/12 about 6 weeks back or so.

I don't think that should affect the flower time. Maybe the stress of rooting caused it to flower sooner. The way I understand autos is they are predetermined internally when they'll flower. Like a timer inside the plant. Light should have no affect on them.

Disclaimer: I've never grown an auto, just trying to help.

Dam, last sentence got me XD

Ok ya. Nope, I cloned in 3 sections. The one I put in flower and 2 put in veg. When the flower one popped, I pulled it out and then waited to pull the other clones for another week till I got something to replace them with. They didn't pop or show signs of stress.

Wierd. Hopefully someone else will have a better explanation. 🍻

From what I understand, you could not re-veg an auto. Once it flowers it flowers.

Biggest difference from a photo for me. Veg time is a non starter, it is what it is. So you can't plan successive grows because they flower whenever the hell they feel like it.

But the clones (from all I have read) are on the same schedule as the mom. So it was best to leave them on - since they are going to be rooting and flowering at the same time. Gonna make what you took smaller than if it had been left on the plant. Same with topping, it stunts growth on a plant with a countdown clock.

Thank you for attempting. No I am not trying to re-vege. I am attempting to keep a non-autoflower plant from flowering automatically.

From what everybody is telling me a clone of an autoflower cannot flower under a 12-12 light. Therefore this plant cannot be an autoflower. And therefore I need a reason why it is flowering

Listen first of all you did not ask how to not flower an non auto you asked if a auto can flower under 12/12 which it obviously can. If Your male wasn’t an auto, males Can show preflowers same as females and said preflowers will drop some pollen.
where did you get your seeds?
what strain/ breeder made it

is English your first language? If so go read a book! since all the experience on this forum is not good enough For you.

Not saying you want to reveg. Just pointing out that if you take clones from a photo plant in flower, they can be placed back in 18/6 and will stop flowering.

If you take clones from an auto they are going to do exactly what the mother is doing, regardless of light.

autoflowers flower regardless of light timing. They just get bigger with more light.

If it flowers under 18//6 or 20/4 its probably an auto.

I have to say Mephisto has them DOWN...seriously hard core performance autos.

Fun to put in your veg room but they take up a lot of space.

The 2 giants in my veg room...Mephisto Grape Sky Walker Mephisto autos....they are impressive. And weird.

The one in the bubble bucket just keeps throwing 3 point leaves...forever...but its budding. To the left of that is the same strain in 3 gallons of 50 50 perlite and living soil.

BB was fed DG until stretch and now Jacks 10 30 20...and then Masterblend Tomato

the soil pot is fed a rotation of kelp/alfalfa/aloe juice and coconut water.

I'm extremely confused. You said it was an auto flower in the title and the first few replies but now you are saying you are attempting to keep a non-auto flower from flowering. Which is it? If you want to keep a NON auto flower from flowering then you need a much shorter dark cycle than 12 hours.

Actually my true question is why it is doing it if it is not an autoflower. if anyone would have bothered to read the text past the goddamn question they would have found that out.

  • #1Can an auto flower (be forced to flower early) {is what I should have added} under 12/12
Yes? Oh, ok, awesome, thanks!
No?
Then why the heck is my male flowering himself?" ... "He is under 24 hr. lights"

Yes English is, but I quit reading in favor of old timers who knew what the hell they were talking about. I figured I'd find a few on this site but all I've found so far is people who don't read past a dam title.

I kept saying it was auto because someone on RIU told me it was from a similar convo.

He is doing it to himself. I had him under 18/6 and now 24 hour.
I'm taking bets: Who thinks he'll man up and say he was confusing?
She'll and meh, not happening. I know what is going on here. Obviously I'm just having a horrible time explaining myself. I'm going to go create one of those journey things and y'all can say from there.
Yup - tapping out.
Me too. I've lost enough sleep over this. Auto or not he is in full flower under 24 hour light with no signs of slowing down any time soon.

People here were honestly trying to help you, but you are too lazy to carefully explain your actual question, just as you are too lazy to do some actual reading on the subject, and you have the gall to say we are too lazy to read past a post title? Asking other growers on forums for help isn't going to help you if you don't do some basic reading on horticulture and cannabis growing because there are a lot of idiots on forums who think they are pros and give out shit advice. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. It explains a lot very well and will help you understand a lot more than most people will be able to explain to you on a forum.
