depends on when you mean. I flip, then up-pot girls if I have regs, so I am up-potting 'after flower' technically. I think there's a certain point in later flower where giving the roots more room to grow is gonna generate vegetative growth, either making it look like a re-veg, or having continual foxtails that never finish.

I vegged for 6 wks, 4.5 of that are in 2 gal bags.
Add another 10 days to show flower and they are seriously root bound.
After sorting for females they get up potted.
At harvest there is still a small bit of unused soil in the pot.
Usually good for a 10 to 12 wk water only grow.

I strive for a hands off, water only grow.
When I lived in Or and grew outdoors I had large raised beds.
Plants hardly ever showed deficiencies.
Ran 65s in the GH, they never ran short of nutrients.
Never watered more often than every 3 days.
Still learning this indoor stuff!

mine have gone from solo cup to 5 gal every time till finish ,this round i'am starting to get problems with my soil ,thisis the 3rd round of plants thru this dirt.i started two weeks ago mixing new soil still working off, a little cool for much action.

This has been one of my best water only indoor runs ever.
Been trying to figure out exactly why.
Probably a culmination of all!

1. I've run the temps from 68 to 78/80 which is 3 to 4 degrees cooler than usual?

2. Got lucky and hit the magic spot with my soil?
Lost count on how many times I've rerun and amended this soil.
Add a bag of worm castings and equal amounts vermiculite/pumice
and Coots mix each time I amend, buy a bag of OF when I have to.


When I dumped my last grow noticed they were a lot drier than I expected.

3. So this run been giving them 1qt of water every 3 days in 4 gals of soil
whether they look like they need it or not.
Worked some MBP into the surface a week or so back, that's all that I've done.

9 wks and they're all getting the chop today.
I've got a hospital visit coming up in 11 days.
Having a TAVR procedure done (aortic valve replacement) possibly 2 days stay.
Should be dry enough by then I can jar them up before I leave.
