I don't really want to start a whole thread for a question, and this one has plenty of knowledgeable eyes on it. I'm about to pop some seeds, and I want to keep a male of a particular strain for experimental breeding purposes. I've never done this before. If I sex the plants using the cloning technique that @Heisenbeans suggested, can I just keep the male clone in veg indefinitely? Then what? Do I just grow it out in its own tent and take pollen? If I want to keep the plant, should I reveg it? Kill it and keep a clone in veg? How do I get from noob point A to lesser noob point B?

You can keep a male in low light 18 hrs indefinitely, when u wanna breed with it just take new clones off it and veg a week or two and put into flower with the females. Males you can flip the same time as females and they will pollinate no problem.

And obviously I want to do this with more than just one male plant. Pheno hunting the males and whatnot. I'm just unsure how to start and also how to maintain it.

How do you hunt them? All the males get flowered in isolation and you make your pick?
