Polar Gelatos are cut down today 10 weeks at 12/12. This pic is from Sunday.

I think I forgot to feed last week with fish fertilizer so I decided to just chop them due to lack of nutrition. Ideally I would have waited one more week.

This is them hanging today. Frosty and sticky and the smell is floral, gas, sweet, possibly a onion smell.

Which part did you struggle with? Watering?
Yeah. This season was strange weather. I needed to be gone often and could only set air conditioning or heater on my thermostat not both.

I came back from being gone for 2 weeks and the water trays under the plants were full with rotten egg water. It was strange because they were drinking everything I gave them the week before I left. The only thing I can think of is the huge temperature swing.

Anyhow I'm kind of lazy and cheap. My method is top dress, freshwater and a rez with a pump and timer. I adjust each plant with a ball valve. Once the plants are established I often do not open the tent for multiple weeks. I was very impressed how resilient weed is lol.

Rainbird makes an awesome irrigation timer for 35$. You can schedule it by the day. You can set up a cheap drip system for like 50-70$. I usually test it by seeing how long it takes to fill up a bunch of mason jars. For 2.5 gallon pots, veg ill typically water .7-1.0L every 1-3 days. In flower typically 1-1.5L daily.

Thanks much appreciated. Someday I will upgrade or change some things. I would like to do a sea of green set up. Or just a bunch of Solo cups and a tent would be nice. Someday I will have a little shop built on my property. Then my wife will quit bitching about the smell lol.

I use 2 drip rings per pump with 2 pumps. 1/2 tubing going to a T then a ball valve for each ring. My timer is a digital timer that goes to the second. Because of my plant limitation I only do two plants per tent usually.

The system works pretty well once its dialed in. I just need to be careful and monitor the environment as much as possible. Sometimes when it gets cold they slow down their drinking considerably. Then when it's hot they drink a lot.

Normally I'm home and I'll check the weight of the pot every now and then. If it's heavy I back the water off, If it's light I bump it up. The system usually works pretty well for me but it requires me to pay attention. if I don't the plant can drown or the opposite and fry from thirst haha.
