Nice experiment 👍 should be interesting. I’ve never used anything but straight up tap water.

everything has sank...in its giving solution.
I have 2 trays...one for the 45min. soak & one for the sink soak...about 15hr.

paper towel in the 45m tray...with dome.
coco in the 15h tray...without dome.

I dont have 4 trays or I would do heat mat vs no heat mat.

Ill let you guys determine the time when I check for root tails. 100% hands free baby!!

the red solo cups full of coco will void the heat mat...so we get a heat mat paper towel vs. set & forget coco. plus the tray will act as a buffer from the direct heat.

Evergreengardener

Agronomist,
I will be spritzing the coco at LEAST every 8 hours. OR I can just say fuck it.

Let me know
First off those seeds need to be buried just sprinkle a little more coco over them and wet it I’m a soil guy so I don’t know how quick soil dries but cover those and spritz them really good. I usually have a seedling popping out in under 3 days. Don’t check them for tails just cover them wet them keep them moist and wait

i recommend using as a fighter/defense a good fungi for soil based disease and bad pathogens ( once you got em your kinda fucked for whole cycle and a lot of em are unfixable)

great product I’ve been using for 3 years is root shield wp or Rootsheild wp plus:

  • Grows in soil and on roots, shields roots from pathogens
  • Seeks out, attacks and eats fungal pathogens
  • Induces host resistance
  • Active over wide temperature range (48-97 °F/9-36 °C)
  • Grows in wide pH range (pH 4-8)
  • Compatible with many chemical and biological inputs
  • Well suited to a wide range of soil types
  • Enhances nutrient uptake
  • Helps plants resist/overcome abiotic stresses and transplant shock
  • Does not interfere with beneficial insects
  • Exempt from residue
  • Excellent tool for fungicide resistance management
  • Prevents root diseases (damping-off, root rot, crown rot, wilt) caused by species of Fusarium, Phytophthora, Pythium, Rhizoctonia and other soilborne pathogens

this product vs so many hydros store products it’s directly sold to you by the company and it must be store in the freezer .its super fresh and man you get your money’s worth vs so many of the other company’s when you get similar in same species and it’s almost nothing and god knows if it’s even alive. when you put the suggested amount and air to it and in a small Rez ( like I do a 5 gal bucket for my seedlings or clones ) man it will try to bubble over) key with this stuff you in;y have to apply it every 8-12 , so it’s very cost efficient and the spores def want to be there if you aren’t hydro . Love this stuff and game changer .

no one wants to lose their stuff to wilt or get fusarium wilt or many other diseases it can save you from + helps intake.
