CrimsonEcho’s pollen mothers!

I got to a point where i was just spraying the stems, nodes, etc. and avoiding the leaves and she still reversed and didnt look so stressed.
Yep that should help. I just didn’t want to risk it this time. The sts is new for me so i didn’t know how it would interact with the plant. Also thinking only spraying the flowering sites might help. Well with time its only gonna get perfect-er :)

By the way, loving the sts. So much easier than cs. I mean, spraying everday for 20 days was hard for me.

Also i don’t see any negative effects from the chemicals. I don’t use a glove when working with them and i know silver nitrate is supposedly leaves stains on the skin. Understandable as silver does that. But to be honest i think you have to leave it on there. I spray and wash my hands immediately and nothing.

Also sodium thiosulfate seems pretty safe too. They use that shit to treat cyanide poisoning. So how dangerous can it be.

I was kinda scaring myself i think :D

I still wouldn’t smoke the buds tho. Thats for sure.

Yep yep yep! STS, i’m lovin’ it!

And here are the seed mothers and blueberry bastards from test run. They all seem well.

Sadly still no news on the indigo lilies. Well i knew this was a possibility as its a fresh harvest. So i used the 3 most underdeveloped seeds. Will try to crack them in a month. I still havent given up on them but i got 18 more so one way or another i’m gonna smoke a weed named indigo lily hahaha.

Another sexy batch of clones. I’m in love with this new technique. Hahah. And these are very delicate, very spindly clones. Usually i fail with these. They usually rot sitting in the root cubes or something. Again not a very clean environment. 5 out of 6 in a week to 10 days. Thats all i need.

Pollen sacks are ripening fast. And there are many many sacs. Hoping they are filled with pollen also.

Also very healthy blueberry bastards. From the smell of their stems, i think i identified one blueberry x northern lights cross and one blueberry x blueberry cross. Lets see how it works out. My theory is the one closest to the camera in the pics is blue x nl and the one closest to the right side of the tent is the blue x blue.

Little bit of trimming makes it look much sexier. :D

Next time i’m gonna shoot for some to zero stress.

Next reversal run will definitely include peyote cookies. I’m probably not gonna do an open pollination just gonna reverse some of them and collect the pollen.

Just harvested half of the pollen mother. Hung them like this and waiting for the sacks to dry and release pollen. Even now some pollen is falling out on its own.

Half is still going incase something goes wrong.

22C16D2A-AC5D-45DA-8FD5-13A9D29568B3.jpeg

Did a huge defoliation on my blueberry b. Just wanted to see how they react. Stress and all that. Any hermies or anything. Also the leaves were tasty, i don’t know why so many people hate the taste of the juice but i kinda like eating them straight. With stems and all. And i’m not even a salad lover or anything.

Now pollen is probably ready but the seeds mother are not. They are only showing sex. They matured and ready to flower but its gonna take a week or two for them to be ready to receive pollen. Well heres hoping the pollen will be viable still. 🤞🏻

Thats one of the reasons i only harvested half. The other half is pretty much done. Even more mature than the sacks i harvested. Somehow. Sadly i couldn’t harvest the bottom and let the tops go a bit more :D

Thats different than how i do it, i let mine go as far as i could without chopping. Do you get a lot of pollen that way?
I don’t know i’m just trying to see if they ripened and all that. They open on the branch and then pollen goes everywhere. In a tent. That would be kinda shitty. No sinsemilla for a while. So i’m trying to stay one step ahead :D

Thanks to @Jesselikes2Grow and his solo cup competition i had to take the pumpkin out of the tent. Haha. I know, i know its a little solo cup how much space does it need. Surprisingly, a lot! Hahahha. Yeah for it to get the best environment pumpkin had to go. Luckily i got the perfect spot on my roof terrace for it. So everything will be fine and i’ll probably go with either pumpkins or watermelons for the winter. Yummie! This is how the tent looks now.

Seed mothers are coming along pretty nicely. I’m actually pretty sure i cut the pollen mother too early. I should have let it go a week more but i’m easily excitable. Lol. But there are many many sacks still on the plant and even if i don’t get enough pollen from the ones i harvested -which is not a real concern imo- i’ll still have lots of pollen to use.

Haha, to heck with the pumpkin, you can't smoke it anyways. Lmfao.
Well I guess you could but, bleghh!!!
Awesome progress on all of your garden, veggies included. I tried to get some melons last year but the dang rabbits fucked off the garden. Little bastards get through the fencing no matter what. Will be raised beds from now on or tallish planters.
Where are my neighborhood hawks, foxes and coyotes to eat some wabbits?
Elmer Fudd would have a friggin blast around these parts. Lmfao.
The Elmer apprenticeship program. Lol.

You can’t smoke it but its proper nourishment dude. I can’t sustain myself on cannabis, watermelon and sandwiches. Well i could but that diet sucks. Hahah.
Rabbits eh? That sucks man. But you know, rabbits, they need your melons to live. Donate your garden today. Lol. Such gluttonous critters they are.
Raised beds should do the trick i guess. Don’t trust Elmer Fudd tho because first of all in real life a rifle with a turned around barrel would not fire at all. :D

I just pollinated dinachem and blueberry #3. They are a bit ahead of their sisters. Not ready to be pollinated exactly but i only used 4 sacks to gently tap pollen onto newly forming clusters. I mean i have more than enough so couple of overripe ones could be sacrificed to get even higher seed count. I’m gonna do couple more pollinations along the way.

Blueberry bastards also got pollinated. Just at their tops but its pollen after all, it ‘ll get everywhere. But at least if i get some precious fire there, the genetic line will continue. No clones no nothing this run. Never done it like that. I always worry about losing precious genetic material forever. Hahah.

Do you guys think this would work as a logo for the possible “Crimson Seeds Co.” Hahhaa. I’m just having fun, there is much time before i even attempt to make that happen. Very ambitious guy here. Well i am about growing cannabis and about a couple more things also :D

Also wish i could post the original export of this photo but its 25mb and the site doesn’t allow it

Pollen mother is still going and @Boybelue you are right about leaving them as long as you can on the branches. It provides significantly more pollen. It gets everywhere in the tent but what you gonna do. I already froze some mixed with cornstarch and another batch mixed with DE.

I’m plucking a couple of them everyday, just running the fan and tapping onto the sacks. Watching the pollen drift in the breeze and land on these pretty gals. To be sure with dinachem i also shake some sacks right above the pistils. Again, no pistils have turned brown. I thought these suckers are supposed to die once pollinated.

And long awaited Indigo Lily. Well by me at least.

Germ rate is incredibly low. I think that reveg fucked with the ripening of the seeds. Some only have shriveled and dead embryo inside the shell. But this gal managed to stay alive so its a pretty tough gal i think.

Fuck me i culled 4 plants. 3 blueberry bastards and blueberry #2. They had balls. The timer was on the fritz so the schedule was kinda fucked for a week or so, i’m guessing thats the cause because blueberry #2 was fairly stable from observation.

It didn’t throw any bananas before but its good to eliminate these genetics early on. I’m not gonna breed with blueberry #2 and blueberry bastards from now on.
