6 SkunkyVA from seed in 100% coco. All seeds sprouted and above ground 12-18-19.

Currently feeding the following.

Great White Mycorrhizae at Transplant
.5mL/Gal Mills Vitalize
8mL/Gal Mills Basis A+B
4mL/Gal Start-R
1.3mL/Gal Roots Excellurator

pH 5.8
EC 1.5

10 Days from Sprout. Feeding Around 100mL/Day

19 Days from Sprout. Upped Feed Amount to 200mL/Day.

The plant in the bottom left will likely not make it. The stem on it is very this and weak just below the coco. I will be transplanting to the final container some time this week.

Not the best week for this grow. I lost two plants with a third not doing the best. The other three plants seem to be doing great though. I transplanted to 3 gal fabric pots and have topped the 3 best looking plants at the fifth node. Since potting up I have upped the EC of my daily feeds to 1.6-1.7 and they seem to be eating it up.

The three plants in black pots are the healthiest. The one in the tan pot is doing okay but I'm not sure how well it will do.

This is what the base of the stem of the plant in the tan pot looks like. I have to keep it tied up or I'm pretty sure the stem would break. It seems to be growing and eating reasonably well though.

This is what the stem and root ball of one the plants I lost looked like. The roots looked healthy but there were very few of them. The middle of the pot was almost completely devoid of roots. Any master gardeners out there that can tell me what happened here, why it happened and how to avoid it? This is the first time I have encountered something like this.

Thanks man. I am looking forward to it as well. Fingers crossed for females. I especially want the plant on the front left of the above pic to be female, really digging the growth and structure on that one. Aside from the few plants that had issues (that I’m sure was due to something I did wrong), they have all shown great vigor and sturdy structure.

If you get too many males or they give you trouble, I'll happily send a replacement.

@Schwaggy P Thank you for the offer, it is great to see you stand behind your work. Having said that, if any of these plants take a sudden downturn it will be because of my own ineptitude. They have grown great until now and I see no reason they won’t keep doing so unless I manage to muck things up. As far as the F/M ratio, well, that’s a known gamble when buying and growing regular seeds. I certainly won’t cry foul if I get a few males, especially with a sample size such as this. But nonetheless, thank you for the offer.

So here we are day 12 of flower, and they are stretching like crazy, very little open canopy space. I pulled them all out today to give them a once over and check for sex and I've got 3 females and 1 male. The male is the one plant that had stem issues and hadn't grown as well as the others, so no big deal there. Feeding for this week is the same as the previous week.

@Jesselikes2Grow Sorry I missed your post earlier. I topped them at the 5th node, except for the smaller plant, I left it alone.

Here is a canopy shot.

Kriz, you wet that one too much when it was a baby. This will cause the lower part of the stem to "rot". Once they dry out they get healthy and start growing normally again but that lower part of the stem will never fill in.

I only say this because I have seen this before. Vigorous plants will tend to stay alive even with lower stem rot. They usually recover very nicely as you can see by your results :alien:

@Hotwired That's what I was thinking as well but it threw me off not seeing anything that looked like it was rotting. I thought the pots I had them in were small enough but when I measured them turns out they were a little over 2 liters. Whoops. I was thinking they were around 1 liter when I transplanted them, apparently I'm not a good judge of volume. Lol. I will definitely measure in the future, lesson learned. I will try to avoid watering near the stem when they are young as well.

You usually wont catch that until it's too late because it happens under the soil line. Once they dry out they heal nicely :alien:

The problem you "might" have in the future will be the weight the plant carries in flower. Make sure you keep that plant upright or it will break down near that spot.

Day 19 of flower. Looks like the stretch is just about over and they are ready to start making buds. I have moved the lone male to another room and will see if he can produce some pollen for me. He will be in less than ideal conditions for sure, so this may or may not work out. I changed the feed schedule at the start of week 3 and will detail it below for those interested.

-Per Gallon-
.5mL Vitalize
14mL Basis A
14mL Basis B
8mL C4
10mL Cannazym
1mL Cal-Mag

EC - 1.9-2.0
pH - 5.8-6.0

This pic would be a good example to show a method you can do to save this plant.
Right now that plant is getting everything through that shriveled up little umbilical cord. Pretty impressive really.
I don't know how handy you are at cloning, but if you scrape the stem above the shriveled part, sprinkle some rooting hormone on it, rough up the ground some and gently lay the stem in the soil, it will re-root like a clone while it drinks through that straw, giving you a good foundation again.

Day 26 of flower and everything is going well with this grow. On day 21 I cleaned up the bottoms again, removing leaves and bud sites, and did some defoliation on the canopy trying to maximize light to the middle of the plant. I also swapped out the 600w MH to a 1000w HPS. Feeding was the same as the previous week.

14mL Basis B
10mL Ultimate PK
1.5mL Cal-Mag
10mL Cannazyme

EC - 2.2
pH - 5.8-6.0

A shot of the canopy.

@HereticCleric Thanks man, I am pleased with how they are progressing as well. As for the smell, I don’t pick it up that much. I thought maybe they just weren’t super smelly but I had a buddy come visit a week ago and he was commenting on the smell from my front door. I guess I’m just around them so much I don’t really notice it.
