Kriznac's SkunkyVA Grow

Kriz, question about the bulb change @ 3 weeks into flower. Why go from 600 to 1000 after the stretch and bud formation? Why not the other way around?

Like 1000 for the first 4 weeks of flower, then the 600 the last 4 weeks. I would have thought that the 1000 would form tighter nodes, thicker stems and fatter bud sites. Then the 600 would finish the job with less heat and produce the same weight.

I'm just curious if you ever tried it that way before your current method. My hydro guy said he knows people that do the 1000 4 week and 600 the last 4 plus weeks method. I wonder which method gives the most product?

@Hotwired I wish I could tell you why I do it that way but I don't remember where I first got the idea to do it like that. It would be interesting to try it the way you describe just to see if there is any difference. It might be my thinking was to use a little less electricity during the month or so of veg then hit them with the higher intensity light in flower.

@Kriznac plants look good bro, nice job. Have you ever used those nutes before? How do you like them? I just got hooked up with the starter pack the other day but never heard of it before. So I searched here just to see if anyone had mentioned it and found your thread. Thnx.

I have used these nutes only once before, on a Sour Diesel grow in DWC. The nutes worked well in DWC but controlling pH swings was a bit of an issue. I'm pleased with how they have performed in coco, the plants have grown well from the start. The only problems I've had have been caused by me. They are a bit pricey, the base nutes aren't that bad but the additives can get spendy. For 1 liter of any of the additives my local shop charges $67.00, the Vitalize is worse at over $100 for a half liter. I think I could get 3-4 full grows out of a 1 liter bottle with the size of grow I have now.

Right on man thanks for the info. Yeah I looked up some online, and very expensive. Couldn't find any info on ingredients but if it works it works lol. I'll be using coco myself so I'm gonna atleast give this pack a try.
