Liberal as we are....we've taken the dirty hippie motif as far as we can after a week without a functioning shower. The original plan was to get this project underway/do the work during the warmer months when the camper shower was available for use. Ah....the best laid plans....
@Jesselikes2Grow built the room. I hired a local tile guy to slap in the tile. It's not this blue....it's really streaked blue and grey....like water running down the wall....but the Colorado bluebird skies just don't allow anything but blue to show through in the pics. Either way....I'ma be takin' a long shower tonight.
Still have the floor torn up...walls down to studs....lots of shit left to do....but damn...it will be worth it when it's over. Many, many thanks to Jesse for taking our idea to the next level.

Gave the beast a trial run last night. Seriously nice.
The last decision to be made on the shower addition part of this remodel was "door or no door". I was hoping we could pass...and after showering last night and seeing that very little water splashed out....it's gonna remain a fully open space w/o a door just as I hoped it would. Alright...one last pic the wife took w/her iphone..........shows the streaks in the tiles and the mosaic we put on the lid/in the niches better than the pics I took...

These tiles are an ink jet mock up of azul quartzite that is mined in slabs in Brazil and other places in the world. If you do a search you will see some crazy showers/applications using the real slabs. Very fluid stuff.
These tiles are porcelain....and are Made in Italy. Fuckin scary drilling into it. I hate that kinda shit....but I got it done. I made the niches myself because nothing pre-made on the market (that I could find) was the same size as the windows and I wanted everything to line up. Worked out well...as did the entire tile feild. Glad I was smart enough to let someone else do it.

Really nice tile. A gorgeous bathroom...when its all steamy with the camera they can guess if its a boob or a ball sack !....keep the camera knee level!
They sure make an awful noise when that bit cuts the hole. I found that masking tape trick and it worked like a champ when i had to put grab rails in a shower.

Not as impressive as stiicky's awesome new bathroom/porn set, but I did accomplish something today.
I found the Romulan pollen that I lost! Left it somewhere to dry out for a bit before putting it in the freezer and it has been driving me crazy trying to find it. It has been rediscovered and safely stored away.
