Update:

I harvested the flower tent on day 63 and I decided to make some minor tweaks in the flower tent for this next run.

1. I removed the carbon filter and inline fan. I repositioned them outside of the tent to clear out some head space.

2. I made some adjustments to the PVC rear wall I built so I could mount the large circulating fan to the very top of the tent.

3. I moved the F&D totes in.

4. I built a stand with a 2" drop for the Flora Flex I'm installing for the soil plants.

5. My new light components arrived and I built two additional lights. Thank you @Jesselikes2Grow for all of the help. You kick ass bro!

COB's: (10) Citizen 1212, 90 CRI, 3500K and (2) Citizen 1212 97 CRI 2700K. Ideal Mounts.

Built the frames and started assembly.

Far left is a six COB rail, 3500K, and ran with a 300w, dimmed, Meanwell driver. It's for the 2x4 tent. Don't worry, the COB's are mounted yet in this picture.

The two COB rails on the right are for supplemental perimeter lighting in the main flower tent. Each rail is set up as (3500k - 2700k - 3500k). They're ran with a 300w, dimmed, Meanwell driver as well.

I used 18 awg strand and tinned the tips. I wired them in series.

Here they are mounted in the flower tent. I'm really happy with how this worked out expanding the overall coverage. Pictured below is the pre-existing HLG-600. (I mounted the UVB's to its frame), and hung the new perimeter lights.

6. The F&D totes were stuck in veg for too long. (6 weeks) In anticipation for stretch and considering the limited head room, I decided to SCROG the F&D plants to control their height. I built this SCROG frame and then weaved the string with the plants in place like a FN surgeon. I decided to make 2.5" squares.

Here's the soil plants. Setting up the Flora Flex system is on deck.

This run is mainly all God O War and Moontang Mystery with a couple BCK sprinkled in. They've been in flower for two days. Good things to come and here's to an exciting 2020. Cheers

Hey @Phylex , dig the new light build man. Nice and clean and I’m sure the garden will show it’s appreciation. Here’s a quick update for the first drop test. All are doing good. I decided to try a leaf stripping to get light in the canopy and to the mid bud sites and also for better air flow. Plants haven’t skipped a beat. Just hit my second week of tru flower. Here they are, top pic is before and bottom is after the strip. I may incorporate this in the future if I get the desired results with no ill affect. Looks awesome @Texagonian How was your male to female ratio? I’m not to far behind you on my current run. I start week 2 tomorrow. I’m just starting to see some males and females expressing theirselves now. I’m looking for a few nice males myself. I’ve also been watching a few closer than the rest and one is a male. I’m diving in deeper for a thorough evaluation in the coming days. I’m pretty stoked for both the boys and girls in this lot.

I had three males out of the 8. One citrol sledgehammer that was kinda spindly and a blunt force trauma that was similar. The one male I would have kept if I was a bit more set up for that was the black abyss male. He had an excellent structure, stinky sweet tart skunk smell and sturdy. I felt bad for a couple days after chopping him. The others were all quite bushy and similar in structure. I have one ground pounder that is a bit more stretchy than the other along with the black abyss and blunt force trauma. Citrol sledgehammer that is female lower left corner in the pics is the shiner of the group so far. I’m excited to see how they turn out. Question, we’re the ground pounders you’ve run lacking smell early on? Mine have that green smell but I have to really put my hands on them to get anything. Citrol has a lemony skunk smell, BFT has that dirty socks stank and the BA I haven’t quite nailed down. Similar to the male but not as loud. Once the buds start to stack up and frost up I’m sure things will change. I’m stoked either way. I’ll get some more updates up as they progress 🍻

Thanks my G! I was kinda nervous about doing it but it was this or just lollipop the hell out of them. In hydro and early flower so I think they’ll fill in nice. Kinda stress testing at the same time too so I can do my part as a tester. My hygrometer fell in one of the flood totes and is now dead but I was running a steady 75-78 degrees and 65% humidity with lights on before defoliating. We’ll see if things change now that they’re opened up a bit better. Thanks for checkin’em out 🍻👊🏻

Hell yea @yougrowyourway ! That’s what I needed to hear. I never really did it before or at least that aggressive. I poked my head in there this morning before lights out and they were praying and looking good so I figured not too big of a deal. Now instead of just the tops getting full blast the rest can get some love too. I may go in and do a bit more before they progress any further

I truly mean strip when I say it. Once the day before flip. Within a week it's like I never touched them. Then around the end of week 3 after stretch settles basically. No issues yet genetics are strong or my babies just love making daddy his meds lmao. I get heavy again towards the end especially when mid and lower bud sites are clearly not as far along as the tops and prime light spots where they look more mature.
