I finished up my Texas toasted and getting ready to start over fresh, got all new coco and all that. I have 4 more platinum I can pop, my next run was all set to be all h's new creations. I have max ac, gg4 auto and apple fritter auto to run as well. I may throw a few stragglers in but I think that's the route I'll take
Let me know how that Max AC works out for you. I have some seeds of it I would like to run but want to see someone else's results first.

@Promedz I let the plant tell me what it wants. Since I flip them quick most end up trees but I top the ones that get good lower limbs in that short veg time. I got one 6-top and 4 trees out of the comp plants.

But share away if there's specifics.

If I see tree stretching a lot and it's already in flower I pinch the stem, like super-cropping without bending it over. Just crushing it a little in the internodes will force auxins to start healing wounds instead of augmenting growth. You can get a little knuckle and let the lower limbs catch up.

imo pinching only damage the plant cells and slows the plant down from stress being applied by pinching and crushing slowly the stem. Pm me and we can talk. I don’t want to flood this page with unnecessary things ppl don’t care to learn or try, I’ll take some pics tonight or tomorrow to explain in detail. If you do try you will not go back.

I've pinched and layed plants over. The bottom nodes just grow up from the increased lighting. I've never noticed plants slow down from topping or laying over. IMO a Scrog net is the fastest way to fill in an area under a light

I'm talking aboutn pinching it but leaving it upright and letting it continue to grow vertical. Sure, it's a stress on the plant but they dig that usually. It's still gonna be a tree, but if there's a lower canopy trying to catch up it helps get the lowers closer to the top.

I was also referring to leaving them upright!
But here is where I disagree. I’ve tried it all and what I do now works best for the lowers to catch up but it’s fine. That’s why I said for those willing to try or learn something that works a lot of ppl are stuck and will never change. I tried everything and will always try new things until I find what works best for the plant! And that is what I do! Please everyone forget I offered to help! Not worth it tbh.

Yea the lowers will catch up if you bend the top but that causes stress to that top branch: the lowers keep growing and it’s what lots of ppl do in flower: plants don’t have much time to slow down they go threw a 3 week growth spurt.

I’m talking about veg time: seeds or clones

in flower I don’t touch the plants I already have enough arms at even level. Super cropping was something I tried in flower. And will still do it under circumstances. Haven’t had to in forever cuz the work is done in veg.

I've never touched a plant in flower. Branches should all be in place before flip. Personally have never seen plants slow down from being clipped or bended. I really can't follow that. I keep almost 40 moms in veg and do over 100 new plants a month and plants just grow. You top a plant it doesn't care it lost a node . Every node still grows at the same rate except as the lowers get closer to light they can grow bigger stems and excellerate .

again like I said when first posted this didn't want to rub ppl the wrong way. or aimed at noone. lol

I know when ppl think they know it all they don't care to listen or hear what others say., therefore don't learn more than what they know! I love to learn and listen!

last thought on this since its hard to understand the way I'm typing or saying it. okay now take a plant. not the 300 or 400 you have going now since they was all put in fast and are just one bud per plant. I'm talking about having a plant seed or clone and the lowers on that plant growing to the same height as the top. making 8 tops at even level./; now if you can pinch or bend to accomplish that's great. what I'm talking about is a lot more simple, faster and it allows the lowers to grow and reach the top of the plant to make a even canopy..(not lst , Scrog or supercrop). don't matter how many plants you have grown unless you have tried what I'm talking about and seen for your self. then you only know one side. your way!

@treefarmercharlie when you move this to banter you can just erase it np was just tying to help a few out!

I'm all ears man. Typically at some point you have to have a system in place that works. I don't really do a whole lot of experimenting with much anymore. I grow on a commercial level. It's a business and I can't afford to try new things I just go with what works. I get 100 percent on cloning so no need for me to do anything different. Shit just works without any hesitation. If you have some techniques feel free to share man. Your not gonna get roasted here for doing so.

It's been years since I was in this same spot...but yeah...once you get a good system in place it's all second nature/timing/rinse/repeat and it's tempting fate to make changes. I did so quite a few times and got knacked hard...LOL. Impatient fuckers callin every day...LOL.

Outdoors....topping is the only way to fly, IMO. Otherwise yer just making a lot of shade for your lowers. I DO get why folks do the "Bud on a stick" grows as I grow in these tents and remember my 12 x 12 bloom room in the crawlspace with no headroom...but it's not an efficient way to play, IMO, unless it's all you can muster in your space. Definitely not good if the cops show up to have hundreds of sticks goin when you can yield the same or more on your legal 6 ...but everyone plays differently...and takes different risks. Been there...did that. Still do cus it's too much fun and plant counts are stupid shit. But I digress....

I want to know this above mentioned tech... I grow buds on a stick, I' ve topped, super cropped, LST, scrogged, manifold/mainline. I just like to let them run el naturel to see what happens, take a few clones if they look promising. I havent had anything from seed that I want more than a jar of in a few years. If I could find a really fire keeper I would want to get my yield up to at least four jars before on to the next one. So what are you doing @Promedz. I need a visual...I point at pictures on the menu at Waffle House.

Don’t worry about it, I’ll do some cleanup on this thread when I get back from my work trip and will just move a bunch of the chit chat to the other thread. It’s not a huge pain in the ass for me to do it.

I'm way behind but I mean to get these seeds to harvest. It wasn't just the thrips it was the 1 year anniversary of my wife's death and my best friend was killed in a car wreck. The holidays got to me it was just too much I needed to take a break and start over. After losing my wife these forums were my only distraction and I'm glad there's good people here that give a shit. Thanks guys, you never know what someone is going through 🙂
