Oh, that pack of fem seeds was a free commercial pack I got along with lots of "fallen soldiers" and some regs when I bought the Chemdog cross.

For what it's worth, S1's are generally a hot mess. For the most part CSI's reversed crosses are better. Like, the ChemD S1 is probably gonna be hit or miss whether I get one that's like the mom clone. Usually miss, even if they are good smoke. I ain't breeding. Only reason I want an S1 is to see what the real clone that I don't trust I'll ever get my hands on is like. If I'm just getting a mish-mash of it's grandparents then fuck that, show me some cool stuff you made with it 🤟 😂

The Chem91 S1's are probably the only exception and the theoary is that they were accidentally already reversed S1's, so the S1's from the selected cut are actually S2's - and pretty damn stable ones genetically since every plant looks and grows and smokes the same. There's some variation in terps probably due to my inputs being random, but the effect is always there.

Those 14wk Nigerian Ducksfoot I grew left so much red pistils and tiny surag leaves in the jar I decarbed it. I coated the turkey in it after the salt and pepper and such - with canna-ola oil to keep the skin moist. I don't think it soaked through the skin that much so I'm pretty sure it was the gravy that fucked me up  I'm scared to get leftovers:LOL:

I'm droppin' some motherfuckin Turkeyday seeds!!! I have water warming and will be getting the rest of that pack of CLHP wet. I got 4 duds, but they are still in soil waiting. These will get a little rattle in a sandpaper tube before the water. There are 7 of them, then I had 4 of Hillbilly Bob's Grapefruit that was stuck to that pack. Pretty karma-licious since I hadn't thought about them in a while. I still have a sealed pack but I need to see if these are still viable. And I also got a fat sack of Raspberry Boogie seeds originally from Mosca but F2'd by @Fiddler's Green - I watched a Mosca podcast and the dude claims reaspberry smells and tastes - AND POTENCY??? sign me up for some of THAT ;)

You guys that aren't divorced hermits probably can't pull this off in a spare bedroom LOL yes, that's a cement mixer which has my next batch of soil in it. It was amended, spun a few times then sprinkled with bokashi. Let the stuff eat the roots and cover crops from the pots, then sift it before I use it to get any un-eaten vegetation and what's left of the rootball. The shelf is my two-shelf tomato growing thing with three lights per shelf and a taller spacing for the bigger plants. Same shelf set up with three shelves and two lights per shelf (they were a 6-pack of lights) has shorter spacing to just take the trays and domes. I lit this one up because I used Bok Choi as a cover crop and it was doing amazing at harvest. That's going in whatever turkey soup I make tomorrow.

Inventive use for clothes hangers.
I got that idea off a random you-tuber showing his grow on an FCP broadcast. That shit is fucking GENIUS! I bought a pack of sturdy stainless hangers with rounded tips so I don't poke holes. I have tried several things to keep the tents spread with negative pressure. Hoodathunkit?

A few smoke notes. Everything I harvested recently on the dank side is legit. All the headband and chem crosses and such.

The Fruit Jam from 707 is that Kush Cleaner male on The Betsy. Just an classic old cut he recently got. That has a crazy spearmint note, and a stellar high. Not much on taste but there's a vicks vapor rub tingle on the exhale.

The other real sweet one I wasn't sure of at first is the Sweet 16 mystery cross from CSI. That's his selected cut of the Pinks N Purps line.
"Pinks N Purps is a complex hybrid of [(Mendo Purps x Killer Queen) x Hawaiian Indica]F2 x Afghani #1." - and on top of that it's one pheno of that mix reversed onto an unknown mom. As of today this one smells like fruit jam LOL. maybe raspberry but not quite? I was already high as fuck from the strain Fruit Jam so I need to re-try the effects next time I wake up. But the flavor is straight up barbeque sauce. If it doesn't get me high I'll mix it with a potent strain but I have a feeling it'll have a feeling ;)

Better than buying a kit for your tents for sure.

Here's the latest batch and I finally found a heat-mat idea I like. I have some sturdy injection molded 1020 trays and I flipped one upside down over the heat mat to set the propogator on top of. Sealed in this mini tent it keeps the inside of the dome at 86 degrees and above 90 rH. I was using the lights for warmth but that was never consistent. The 4 Raspberry Boogie are the drop. The rest are germination tests I want to grow out.

After getting my assortment of new pipes, and the cannagar molds, and still having the bong and pack-a-cone options (I can't had-roll a joint worth a damn), I am noticing is that it's about titration as much as the flower you use. I'm not counting concentrates.

The cannagar is what got me thinking about it. They burn slow, and with the hole down the middle there's a lot of air with the smoke. It's easier on the lungs because there's not as much smoke per puff, but by the tme you've smoked a gram you've still smoked a gram. but it hits your system in different concentrations and can effect you at different levels.

Same thing happens with that Typhoon pipe vs a straight pipe. It allows air in at each chamber so the smoke is cooled, but also thinned out. But when you've smoked a bowl you've smoked a bowl. Same amount of weed but different highs as far as onset and duration.

I think the "airy" highs creep up on you more and last longer. Just because of that titration. Like taking sips of liquor vs doing shots. Smoking a joint vs a bong is more like a mixed drink vs beer.

The bong-rip is taking a shot. It'll hit you fast, quick, and in a hurry but before too long you're taking another rip. On the flipside, smoking a bong is the main time you'll get that green-out feeling with the tingles and the dizzyness. It can happen occasionally with a straight pipe or joint, but rarely.

With all the options I have available I find the pipe the most enjoyable, with the Typhoon being the favorite. And the bong-rips if I am feeling like shit physically and need an attitude adjustment.

The cannagar is a great storage tool. That shit ain't doing anything but getting better compacted like that, especially sealed and properly stored. It's a good working outside option since one will burn forever, and putting it out and re-lighting it changes nothing w.r.t. flavor or effect. It doesn't beat fresh flower, but that flower is only gonna be fresh for so long.

Stoner epiphany alert...

I noticed that I was getting more beanpole plants with no limbs. I can't think of a reason other than genetics why it started showing up more recently but I'm growing tops. Duh.

You could have a 6' tall shrub, but after you flip it if there's an apical cola you'll get the stacked center with several sets of shoulder nugs and the top.

Since I veg for about 4 weeks I am not getting branching on any but the most vigorous branching plants. And if it's on node 2 or 3 I usually prune it.

So I am left with a plant that is pretty much what you would get just from post-flip stretch. Growing tops.

Those 3' and 4' plants I have had - DAMN! They would be monster trees grown outdoors.

I'm honored vato. Now I'll get to see what it's supposed to look like. Hope you dig it, if so there are plenty more to send your way.
I am just hoping to find a tasty fruity strain that also gets me high. From his story on the podcast this might be a good one. Or not - no skin off either of our asses if it's not. I had to flip the lights on the seedling dome because two of the RB already broke soil.

Then I had to go back and unplug the heat mat so I didn't cook them with the added lights. Wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't spend time in the tents.

The NotsoChemD got the axe this morning. That full moon... She's been fading for a week but today it's like 80% milky on all the old stuff, still no ambers but it's 11 weeks. I am sure they are in there. Yes, that's a tomato plant in the pot. I get those coming up from time to time because my worms love tomatoes. I don't think she was ever gonna stop with the new growth.
IMG_7653.JPG
The Deep Chunk are done as well, but they don't hit 8 week for 2 days so I am making myself wait. Low wattage and a quick finisher. There was zero stretch at flip. Next batch I veg longer and they get bigger pots. While I am smoking on these I'll probably run some other shorty strain like the Lemon Tree and see if the same style works to get them stretchy. When these go I'll have 4 plants in flower... DAMN! Might as well drop more beans!

The larger tomatoes are golfball size (it's a big pot). This is one and a half gallon ziplocks of just the off-color cherry tomatoes. I just tossed what I didn't eat that day into the freezer. I added some salt and pepper, itialian herbs and spice-rack garlic and onion (fresh is later) just to get a super flavorful condensed sauce to portion out and put back in the freezer. I'll just run it through a seive to get skins and seeds out.

I have about twice this many red cherries that I kept separate that I may take care of while I'm on a roll.

So far I'm pulling an 0-fer on the CLHP from that supposedly good pack. That was aboutt 13 fem beans with 7 hitting day 5 today. One thing that always worried me was if beans sat in the mailbox too long in summer - how long would be too long? I have a few more packs and the next one may be a paper towel thing until I see tails. I also may end up keeping my first mother plant when the next one pops.

The good news is that with the more sour leaning stuff I am finding those same meds. The Headline fems from Skunktek (Headband x Texas Shoreline) has that salisbury steak vibe going on where the CLHP leaned towards chicken. I am now associating those food-terps with sour. They all have that pungent but edible thing going on. Always meaty and "earthy" I guess.

Next drop is gonna be all the sour stuff I have accumulated recently I haven't tried.

Waters warming. I'm checking lots off the list this drop.

2 each of the following:
Sour Diesel F5 - Top Dawg - F4 x F4
Z-Sour 91 - Top Dawg - Chem 91 x Zkittles/Sourdawg
Dirty Taxi - Top Dawg - GMO x ChemD/i-95
T-Star - Top Dawg - Trinity x Stardawg
Jane Doe Skunk - Top Dawg - Colorado Superskunk x HP21
Cronus Sour - 707 - SourD x Kush Cleaner
Morning Brew - Blackbird - OG Chocolate Thai x Coca Cola Rootbeer
Albany Sour Diesel x NL1 - AK Bean Brains

Sour Hebrew National - from Best Coast. It's Kosherdog x Sour Chem. 5 of these were a freebie pack.

And to fill up the second dome I have three fems.
Headline - Skunktek - Headband x Shoreline
Chem91 S1 - CSI
Cookie Breath - TwoDog - lots of letters and numbers that added up to a cookies and a motor breath crossed.

The T-star, the Morning Brew and the Headline are second drops in the above group. They have each earned a spot in the "good meds" category. I want to see if there's a big variety of pheno's in the Headline so I'm dropping a second to make sure whatever pops is something that works. I made one final seed purchase to snag the last remaining pack of the Headline off Dagga. This pack was 15 beans in a 10-pack. I like having a reliable fem that has that "sour" taste and effect. I also got one of the 50 available packs of Bombthreat Bubba x HP13 from CSI. I know the bubba makes a tiny plant, so hitting them with something else that was reversed seems the best option since reversing the tiny plant wouldn't get much pollen. But you don't get many beans off the tiny mom. I love that he put them up and said "there's 50 packs".

So I'll get a slew of freebies, but I culled about half of my bean collection to gift this Christmas, stuff I bought before I knew what I know now, both about breeders and about what I like. And lots of freebies I never will get around to so after I sort through these freebies the box gets sealed up.

I realized that there are some breeders that just select for a high that ain't what I like. So a great breeder that selects for flavor over effect ain't got space in my garden. I have found that if it makes you feel good then it's a smell and taste you like. Why grow a bubblegum plant that doesn't smell like bubblegum unless it's alive, and when it cures it's midsy crap? Or a skunk that has a nice citrus, floral smell - fuck off right? I can dig the skunks that smell like cheese, because they call them cheese. And they're still nasty.

I am thinking the Raspberry Boogie might be a berry smoke I can dig if it has good feels. Aside from that I have an assortment all crossed with the Kush Cleaner male from 707. He adds potency from what I gather, but not many other traits. So I have things like "Candyland" and Zkittles and Sherbet all with a good chance it will taste and smell like the mom, but the effect will be better. I am pretty sure 707 had many more crosses he didn't release because they all came out like the Kush Cleaner.

But that's my new years thing is to stop buying beans. If I need more Chem91 beans that would be the exception.

I'm kind of amazed. Had another hard freeze last night an got up to some wilted looking celery. This is the last green garden thing I have, and it popped right back up when it got warmer. That whole area was dug out and loosened for sweet potatoes about a foot below the ledge that can be seen.

I left a bunch of carrots in and they are still green as can be. There weren’t ready so I figured I’d leave them in over winter to see what happens. I’ve read they should go dormant and come back in the spring.
