Fuck Yerp... I think I am gonna try poping 4 beans. Couple of regs of DET—PDX's F GMO X M Funeral Cake and F Kings Juice X M Rainbow Belts. Then 1 of Katsu's new Fussy Pussy Platinum GSC X Platinum Kush and then a Dosi Do bag seed from my local Bud shop.
The cool thing is that even if you drop the exact same next time it'll be a different grow. Unless you are growing super-stable genetics with not a lot of hybridization there are gonna be a few pheno's per pack.

Stuff I ran that I didn't pop a great pheno the first time may still have fire in the pack.

I'm finally starting to realize that myself and it's like every run is a pack of baseball cards like when we were younger...
You never knew what you were going to get.

Here's 8 pots dumped into a 60g. I shook them upside down over a tub to get most the loose rice hulls off, then mixed up all the soil.
IMG_7959.JPG
Added a handfull of bokashi and a handfull of craft blend and watered it in. I sifted any greenage from cover crops out so there's no more rotting, then poured the loose stuff back on top. Wet the loose stuff then covered it with the other tray.

The worms get about a week to work this then I'll mix it all together for the re-pots.

Next time I'm messing with these I'll get some individual pics. I am seeing fade on several and a few are closer than I thought. The 30th is 8 weeks for all of these, and two in the other tent.

the little CBD runt in the middle finally showed amber and she's 9 weeks today so she's gone tomorrow.

The Orgi BX #2 was the cactus version. Not a bad mix of tops and nugs, no pruning to speak of and the smallest nugs had density. That's a full sheet baking pan. Ended up with roughly 2oz.
IMG_7977.JPG
Really chunky buds and the pistils never curled The old brown and the later yellow pistils are both cactus spines for the most part.
Heavy on the frost and sticky, but light on the aroma - it smells good, but nothing jumps out yet.
Looks like good pheasant hunting terrain after the first light snow.IMG_7980.JPG

PICK YOUR OWN
What I am going to try for a bit (since therre's no testers for a few drops) is three fems and 6 regs (2ea from 3 cultivars).
The fems this run will be Member Berry Bx1, Grandpa's Stash R2 from Ethos & Romulan x C99 from Duke Diamonds Vault

The regs will be 2 each Rock Island Rocket F1 from @J.James, Road Dog - a multi-chem cross from Lucky Dog, and The Cream from Irie Genetics.

The Cream was a knee-jerk purchase. A 5-pack from Irie for $28. The Prana I have going smells delicious and is supposed to be dick-in-the-dirt stuff.
I just decided to drop regs in pairs - It shows up and there's 7 in the 5-pack. Two extra was too much Karma for me to pass up.
Running some rock island rockets with the comps they are slower growing more squat compared to his Harlets & the comps them girls are ferocious growers so far...

Perfect stoner morning. The key phrase that relates is
"I'm reaching up and reaching out.
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me."

Fresh coffee, fat cone of ChemD, sitting on the front porch watching the rain, and a stray comes up and wants to be petted...
Embrace the random motherfuckers! 🤪

looking good haf
i was @the farm store the other day and found cheap bungie cords i cut the hooks off, they hook perfect on tent rails the yo-yos drop right in the hole where the bungie was folded over and crimped, plus they are real easy to adjust to any light, filter ..,or whatever needs hanging and move easyly.just slide along the rail

A short history of my "Bagseed Breeding" project so my stoner ass can serch for this if it ever matters.

I had a volunteer bean pop up a while back under a plant that was late in flower. It was under a Lemon Tree S1 tester from @Heisenbeans, which did have a few early nanners but I never found one bean in the smoke. But the volunteer smoke when I grew it out had a definite lemon smell/taste. Quite possible that it made one bean early and dropped it.

That's the first part of the story, because then I was growing that volunteer out I had a tester that full-on seeded and I never saw it.

The buds in the middle are the last tops from the Headbanger x Zerelda cross from @J.James. Beautiful, dank, fuck-you-up smoke with a lot of sour. But it was a little fluffy because it is full of beans. A few dropped out when I dumped those tops.

Soooooo I am saving none of the Headbanger-Zee bagseeds. Hermie prone and I'll get another shot at them if the line gets worked.

But in the tent at the same time I had some fire in various stages of flower. Sangria Cookies, Vin Santo, Homecoming Queen, Northern Lights and the first CLHP. Each of those has had the occasional bean, no more than a dozen per plant.

The 8 at the top are big beautiful beans from the volunteer - so second generation "breeding" :ROFLMAO: here at my grow. I was busting up the last of the volunteer smoke to grind, or at least get any last beans out.

With the fire I am growing I am keeping future bagseeds and labelling them unless it's a shit plant. But I have the Chemdog going right now and she threw a few nanners early and I may not have caught them all in time. So I'll keep track of the plants in this round so that if any beans show up I know it's probably a Chemdog cross.

At some point I may get bored and play around with this and I wanted to quantify what I had in writing so I didn't get mixed up later.
i still take notes, memory does'nt work like it did @1 time. label everything!

@Lurrabq when I say "my schedule", since I am running the testers I have some obligatory drops around my bean-per-strain fun runs. I'm an old retired dude, and just for clarification/reiteration purposes it's not my initials. I stay High As Fuck pretty much alll the time.
I like the freedom of not having to piss for every new job out of the hall! mine should read like yours HAF, EXCEPT HIGHER THAN FUCK

Some bud pics came out good. Not going back... Warmer weather outside and they are drinking more inside.

In here, the front two came out. Big Detroit Energy on the left

and the SSHP x Baguettes on the right

Beautiful plant structure, no supports.

Main cola is like a pine cone, and very sharp colors. Burnt orange old pistils and the new ones are likt the inside of a lime. Nice rails.
IMG_8012.JPG
Fat buds but they look squishy enough not to be rocks. The secondary tops are pretty uniform

Boredom and a long term idea. I want to make a compost specifically to age for a long time and try using for a grow in about a year. I put together a little bit of everything using 2g of Oly Mountain compost as a base. I ground up the malted barley in the pic, and the corn will be sprouted to add moisture once everything is in there. One bucket has furry sticks from the tops of ancient oaks from a recent storm, the other has chopped up weed stems and leaves mostly dry. Insect frass, kelp, bio-char, bokashi, crustacean meal, rice hulls, barley straw from BaS and home-grown, a little bit of fish hydro, and some micronutrients and rock dust.
IMG_8025.JPG
But I really want it to have some local terior and see if that's worth investing in. It's warm and rainy so I got an assortment of yard-shrooms, moss and pourous rocks, a whole dandelion that popped up, some old rotted oak that was dead many years before it fell, and a lambs ear just because it was fresh and new.
IMG_8027.JPG
The only thing I want to add is a batch of loosely sifted castings/compost with most of the big worms sifted out but all the little wigglers and any other critters left in. I'll mix it all up good and water the sprouted corn in with just enough water to keep the worms happy. Maybe some plain shredded paper bedding for some added neutral carbon bulk.

A generous moderator moved this back to my thread from where my stoner-ass posted it. The other thing I want to add is all the culled males from this tester run, roots and all.

I am thinking of this as more of a nutrient dense additive than a 'super-soil' I want to put plants right into. Something to work into the soil at transplant or top-dress with.
