Yep. Those side bars which make the actual frame. Good way to gain a few inches, just making sure.
Cool, yeah they’re about as high up as they can go without getting cock-eyed from the filter there lol. I’ll measure the distance between there and the canopy next time I go up, it’s well over 24” atm.

I‘ll gradually lower them to about 18” when I start the flip, then adjust from there as needed. Running at 34.7v is dim enough that I can get them as close as about 6-8” from the tops. This is kinda helpful because I’ll end up with the plants lined up according to height, and the entire light fixture at an angle to account for those height differences. Looks kinda funny but hey it works.

All good....I seen a reply a few posts ago. Forgot to reply it. I know someone shows me that track a while back. I know it's not much but when space is tight, those few inches can make a huge difference. I am so glad I dont need filters.

More haircuts today. Last one for sure for 3 of the 4. Purple Punch S1 is 6 tops right now, might have to make that 8. Fruit Punch and Bridezilla are both 8 toppers now. Mac X PP is 6 and will stay that way.

Temps are getting better outside!!!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉

I dimmed the lights way down to keep things cool the other day. They seem much happier now. Won't flip until we're mostly out of the 85+ degree weeks. So probably will flip 3rd or 4th week of September.

Can you fit 5 gallon in the buckets?

5's won't fit in these buckets, but I do have other containers that can fit the 5gal fabric pots. But then I can't fit 4 plants in here if they're in the 5's like that. I'm thinking the 3's will be Ok, but definitely pushing the limit there considering how old they'll be by chop time.
I dont think there's much a difference between the 3's and 5's with certain brands. I have found 5's smaller then some 3's. Like the fabrics with the green on top, the 5 gallons are the size of 1 gallons in other brands.

The 5's I have are shorter and wider, I have 3's that are both tall/skinny, and short/wide. And a bunch of 1's lol.

I've grown in both 5's and 3's and honestly I can't say there's been much difference in size one way or the other, but I've always vegged for the same amount of time roughly regardless of which pot they were in so take it with a grain of salt.

I've been thinking hard about trying more plants in 1 gallons next run as an experiment. I just don't want to get in a situation where I'm watering every other day. So I just gotta figure out different containers for the SIP if I go with a bunch in 1gals.
