Cobs

Hey everybody been using HPS for quite a while now did a couple of runs last year with cobs. They were cheaper than usual but they worked well. Trying to figure out a cob setup for a 2x4. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Like at least 240 watts

Just watch the cobs man I swear they did something to my eyes

I been staring at hps for years never a problem all of sudden cobs

I am old af tho 45 so could just be Father Time but I think it was the cobs the last run

Ya they are weird looking for sure . I bet out eyes just aren't used to it . We been looking at hps forever

I have boards now . Just wanted to try a nice cob setup. Hate to admit it but LEDs im not sold on just yet

You can do a DIY cob build too...Just swap strips for cobs. No difference really in wiring.

That sounds interesting I'd love to have like 320 Watts Maybe with for cob lights spread across the four feet

Pretty easy really....I mean plug and play easiest way to go but if you wanna save $ and set it up how you want to DIY FTW.

If you go for easy check out timbergrow they make a 320 watt cob fixture. They also have what is called daisy's which are singles that can be daisy chained.

Yeah gwheels had me thinking about those . What are they each? Hoping for like 3 100s or like 4 80 s? For the 2*4

Both are very bad for your eyes and you shouldn't look directly at either. The LEDs that have a pink/purple color temp definitely bother my eyes more, though. If you are in your grow area for extended periods of time you really should be wearing sunglasses. I'm guilty of not wearing them, too, but I should when I'm in there.

I def try not to look at em , also keep a hat near tent to help.

You can get a 3 cob or a 4 cob that will fit a 2X4, I have tmbers in 2 of my tents and 1 tent has quantums but in the winter they will all be cobs as they give a bit more leaf temps in the winter. I have a couple cob lights I built but at the little I saved I bought the other two..
